Just a suggestion. When you post an update, include a time of the update. Just to give us an idea. Again, just a suggestion. No complaints here...lol. My internet provider was down for 12 hours last nite running into today. I think the hackers are working overtime these days. With the economy the way it is and so many ppl out of work, it seems they have more time to hack around....My suggestion, HACKERS

Hi, thanks for letting us know about the downtime. It seems as though uuuq.com is constantly down. I cannot access my website 4 days out of a week. I just want to know is it just uuuq or have others had issues like this on other servers? I am seriously thinking about moving to another host. I wanted to try this free and check the reliability before paying for this service. Just want to say that if this is typical of the up time, many will find another host even if they have to pay. I am disappointed with the reliability of zymic's server up time.

Yes jokerscadance, i too have serious issues with the hosting as i cannot access my site 3-4 days a week also... also Macs (which i have to use in the workplace - NOT by my choice ) have some issues with connecting at all!! im not sure what the issue it for the downtime here but it isnt too good :[

other than the downtime/ lack of reliabability Zymic has been good, ftp is sometimes "glitchy" though

hope the curent issue gets fixed soon...i am being forced to look for other hosting atm, a huge deal of effort i neither have the time or the money to do

If whether you can access the site or not depends on what operating system you have, I suggest you look elsewhere (your home network?) for the problems - we do NOT filter by country or operating system.

When this period of downtime ends, I would be grateful if yu could all change to opendns and try then. As I suspect it's your ISP's not updating properly.

Also, could you mention which ISP you're with? Just to see if there's a pattern.

thanks for the helpful info swords, yeah Macs arent reliable (at all!!!) hence why i stated it wasnt out of choice. I am currently using sky but switching to plus+net as soon as i have enough time to

I'm new here. I have a .uuuq.com web page and I just accessed my file manager a minute ago. I can open my index.html from there and everything seems to work. What I can't do is open it from Google. Could this be because I only uploaded the files for it yesterday?

Seriously, Zymic is much better as free than most paid hosts are.. You should be happy for the opportunity they offer.

Personally, this is starting to get ridicules. 3 days so far and its only up for minutes at a time. My site was under a maintenance break and was supposed to end yesterday. Since i can access my site/ftp im screwed.

You guys really need to quit complaining, this is free hosting. If you don't like it then go try freewebs, we all know how amazingly great that crap is don't we.

I'm in the same position here being a uuuq user and I'm just grateful that we've actually been informed of the situation and can clearly see the guys here trying to fix it.

If you want the right to complain and make a scene about something, pay your way and try the premium service, I'm sure you'll think differently afterwards.

All I can say is that I've been other places where they offer no type of free services and charge stupid prices and they have nowhere near as good customer service as I have received in my short time here with zymic being an un-paying customer, that to me means a lot more than some minor blips every now and then.

Anyways, thank you Swordz and Jack for keeping us informed, I for one am very grateful. I look forward to having uuuq back up again.

85% uptime this month, 89.?% over this year(and there are many months to go), I am not saying I am unhappy, I am just saying this isnt verry proffesional:), reason they give us free hosting is so real buyers can search forums for customer satisfaction. Witch they wont find here.

But then again, it probably is uuuq.com thats the real problem maker. Anyways, I got nothing to lose, there are many other providers with same offers, I so far only got ftp connection problems, witch has more to do with me then providers.

For your information there are servers that offer:
20gb space | 100gb bandwith
10gb space | 50gb
etc

your post wont affect paid hosting. Paid hosting is not on our servers. Zymic does not offer paid hosting, paid hosting is provided by lunarpages a unaffilated company whom we refer people to. As a lunarpages customer myself I can say that I have 99.9% uptime since i ordered the hosting

1and1.com- first 6 months are 1.99/month, then goes up to 3.99/month,
namecheap.com-2.91/month.

(35.88 for a year with 1and1, 34.92 for a year with namecheap)

or you could go with lunarpages (of course they wont be able to move your site from UUUQ, until everything is fixed) there is also a special.... (if you know where to look.)

or if you just rather not pay anything, just wait it out, I guess. :/

yes that is what it says... we dont offer paid hosting if you go to http://www.zymic.com/free-web-hosting/premium its specifically says "In partnership with Lunarpages" When you click signup (http://www.zymic.com/lunarpages/) you are taken to lunarpages website. We are not lunarpages, our hosting is not an example of what lunarpages is like.

I think now that we all have an idea of how long it take will deffinetely settle things down a bit. I have no problem waiting an extra 24 hours, after all it is FREE hosting.

finally i can move on with things, finally bought some hosting.. $40 for a year. not bad, my site is up and i dont have to keep coming back to these forums to see what happened to my site "this time" nothing personal, i just needed higher uptime.

Well it has been past 24 hours for Update 2. Is the problem in Update 2, still a problem? Can you give us a new estimate time?
