Participating in Yahoo Answers could give traffic to your site, but recently I find Yahoo Answers as jokes!
There are a lot of nonsense questions which leads to more nonsense answers.
I recommend joining Yedda and wikianswers.

Yes, i have also noticed that yahoo answers are getting full of spam questions. Yahoo answers can definitely provide you good traffic.

Not only yahoo, but also the linkedin answers are very much helpful to drive traffic to your linkedin profile and via resource you can insert your site.
