Full Version: Can't Delete Some Directories Like "admin" Or Backups!

I can't delete some of my directories like "admin" or "backups". And it's not because of permissions, I changed it to "reed only". Please somebody who know what to do help me!!!!!!

It is because you've changed your permission to read only, delete requires an execute permission. I've removed the directories now though.
Admin you really have problems on server, I tried all chmodes, and nothing changes. Also now I have an error: Can't remove directory: Directory not empty . I need help!!
Is the directory empty?

How are you CHMOD'in the files?

I found that by adding a dummy .htaccess file in each directory that could not be deleted, immediately deleting the .htaccess file, and than deleting the directory works.
