Go edit your config.php file with your username, pass and db info.

this is true, after the installer, your going to have to edit the config file with your information.

Yup wink.gif
You can also check out EMO's test server. Basically he installs scripts on Zymic servers, and tells you if its compatible or not...very interesting and helpful.

And don't forget to make a MySQL database. What they mean by the config.php and changing the hostname, username, and password is changing it to what you put when you make your MySQL database. For a tutorial on creating a database visit: http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=536

Upon reading your post P3S1GO,
I was thinking to myself..."What does MySQL stand for?"
Lol, in the past I have always just said to myself in my head "My Sequel" as in stating it like a word, hehe.

MySQL pronounced (IPA) /mɑɪ ɛs kjuː ɛl/, "my S-Q-L" as wikipedia says. tongue.gif Basically its a multithreaded, multi-user SQL database management system.

Thank you very much for your replies. I am working on working the things out smile.gif))

Ok, here are my roadblocks (i know little of this).

I went to my control panel and file manager (of the website) and clicked on install.php when i did i got this message

There doesn't seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn't work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file What in the world is that? I followed the tutorial on wordpress, but goodness gracious, it is really hard to understand what they mean. Can someone help me out?

Also, is that the file "install.php" that i have to run in order to install wordpress? this files is in the dir of wp-admin

Sorry for my questions, but in order to learn i have to ask.

Thanks
ce3john
The config.php file is probably named config-sample.php. You need to rename it to config.php then edit the user, pass, db info inside. Once you got all of that just visit the folder url (www.yoursite.com/wordpress) or if you have all the files uploaded on the main directory public_html just visit your front page.

Wordpress 2.3.2 works: http://alexe.zymichost.com/

You just ignore those warnings and complete the installation anyway.
