Full Version: Can't Remove .htaccess File

I uploaded .htaccess file to one of directories of my account. Now I can't remove it in any way. Any advices please?

Ensure hidden files are enabled in your ftp client.

Alternatively, use http://www.uuuq.com/fileman.jsp (if you're on another server point replace uuuq.com with the correct server's domain) and delete that way.

For some reasons I couldn't remove it either using file manager of the site. Attributes changing didn't help. Than - again from FTP client - I tried again to remove the folder containing mentioned file and it worked this time... Anyways the problem is solved. smile.gif

Sometimes you don't have to delete the .htaccess file in general. Just try opening up the htaccess file and delete the contents. If the .htaccess file is left blank, it would not have any effects on your site unless you have a script that automatically inserts content into the .htaccess file.
