Well after reading some topics i see that many users are not recieving mails for the account activation, well I installed phpbb3 in my website too and i enabled the registration by user, the ppl who register in my forum NEEDS to activate it by mail, the question is...

is the mail function enabled and working on Zymic free hosting plan? or is just a temporal issue and how to solve it?

The mailing function is disabled on all zymic hosted websites. You'll have to find an alternative to e-mail activation.

The SMTP thing dont work so i dont know how you gona get that workin

I just visited http://www.emailmeform.com/ but i dont know how to make it work with phpBB3

SMTP dont work because the php thing not enabled or just dosent work ?

I really dont know if SMTP depends of mailing function, but if it doesnt can i know how to configure it with phpBB3?

SMTP is also disabled for spam reasons...

take off the email confirmation via your acp and activate the visual confirmation.

Ok, people with fake emails MIGHT join, but at least no bots will register !

phpbb3 suck's i cant get it to make new topic's/forum's i tank i got a bad download at the time...

It doesn't "suck". You are apparently doing something wrong. Make sure your going into the AdminCP and creating the new forum title before you make the forum.

Also, make sure you still those files Chmodded.

I upgraded from phpbb2 to phpbb3 and I love it. It's so much smoother and just nicer all around. The only problem is that there aren't any mods yet and the whole e-mail thing.

i cant even get mine up. keeps failing on the instlation

Don't you have to chmod the folders? you using zymic hosting? it should work cause Emo has tested it, i think.
