I'm getting an error of "Connection for controluser as defined in your config.inc.php failed" at the bottom of the phpMyAdmin page after logging in. I'm also having severe load times for pages. What can be done to fix this issue ?

We've been looking into the load issues for a couple of days, it's the 'SHOW DATABASES', if you know your database, try the url:
