Well I can't really say much since you are using a pre-made CMS. I noticed that the layout you are using is also a typical layout for all xoops site/script. In addition, there is hardly any content on the site. Therefore, I am a bit confused as to what you want us to criticize or praise your site on/about.

Paranoid please do not respond just "I hate it", not only is this classed as spam but it also does not help in any way to review the website or to improve it.

Blade Leingod, your site as a whole isn't that great.
Places that need improvement:
- Banner (Bad photoshop job, not exciting - do something original and spend longer creating it)
- Template used (not only does it not work correctly in my browser, safari - but it also isn't that attractive)

From this, I can clearly see you don't know much about web design/development - so maybe you should try and look at a few tutorials, learn some code or how to use photoshop correctly.

Yeah...the banner is kinda messy...The template looks (what I think its supposed to ) right in IE and Firefox for me....But like Adam said it needs much work,

Elaborating on my blunt: I hate it.
I feel that you need to redo your layout/template. It is not appealing at all. Learn to use photoshop, or some other software through tutorials or seminar sessions.
What is your website about anyways? You dont state anything about what it is.
The color scheme of your layout is not eye appealing, I found myself squinting because the colors simply dont blend.

Why would I want to spam? This is a forum, its not some advertising for some lame company. If you think its spam, delete my post. I was offering up my opinion. The only reason you left my post up there was probably because you wanted other members to see what a intellectual jerk you are. If you believe it's some sort of spam, be every means delete it.

Because we get it a lot, and keeping the post there means that other people who might reply the same way will see that it isn't tolerated. Just like we don't tolerate people calling our staff jerks. You have to understand that we are setting the rules, not you - so if you feel we are somehow inadequate... tough.

Now, back on topic. I have to agree with the previous posters, the render on the banner is not blended well, and most of the rest is (I assume) a template for the CMS.

but the banner is just... naff. the background is plain, the font is boring, the image has been cut out badly, it lacks impact and does not match the layout.

Well Blade, the banner is not the best thing, im sure u can make something better... also there is not much content.
By the current news I can see that its a game site and game sites must show very good and high graphics templates =) so u need to work.

As everyone else said, the banner isn't that great, I'm sure you could do better. Also the layout is kinda complicated to understand and see what's going on. When i first got on the site i had no idea what the point of it was, and i still kinda don't. I assume it's about Halo? more content would help that.

Paranoid, the Admins do not hate you, they just don't like your methods of doing things. I personally don't like messages that only states "I hate it" as it is rude and not really criticizing someones work. You can become a good poster, just post more content per post relating to the topic

I agree completely. Put yourself in their shoes. You're a mod/admin. and someone posts a short little one liner...What would you do?


I would assume you would let the user know that it's spam, and if he keeps it up he will be gone...the same thing anyone else who hates spam would do...
