so i made my website, there all php files, and then i have all the images in 2 folders... anyway
iv got a mySQL database linked up with the site and i test it by using the //localhost in my web browser and it all works fine.
i can log into my database and everything.

the only problem i have is that i dont know how to upload my php files so they will work on zymic,
iv heard about PHPmyadmin but i cant seem to find a tutorial or anything stating what PHPmyadmin how to use it when uploading files to a hosting site.
i try to upload the files using filezilla they upload successfully but they dont work (as in when i click the index.php file i uploaded it doesn't work).
so if anyone's got a guide or can help me in anyway i would very much appreciate it. i should pick it up quick tongue.gif

I do believe you have to ask Jack to enable PHP on your account. This does cost a small fee, however.

If you upload the files by FTP everything should be working fine. Can you link to the page in question please.
Jazzflyff
ahh ok, so its just that my php isnt activated.. thanks ill have a look at the prices
Dave

No.. PHP works on every account automatically.. for free.
Jazzflyff
hmm ok do u know how to upload the php files so they will work?
Dave

What you need to do is either go to your hosting control panel and upload the .php files one by one.

Or use a free FTP client (such as Filezilla) to connect to your site and upload all the files at once.

Checkout the tutorials section if you need a step-by-step guide to this.

ok yea i know how to upload them and stuff its just that i realized all the files are text files! would this make a diffrence?
Dave

You need to open them in notepad and save them all as [filename].php
Jazzflyff
is this with the brackets? because the index at the moment is index.php , as are the rest of them and thanks so much for the help!
Dave

That's correct! No problem smile.gif

X( epic failure. did Jack change that Dave? or has it always been that way?
Dave

Always been that way. Only need to pay for php-mail or to turn safe mode off.
L. Kaiserblazer
Ah. That is correct. biggrin.gif Thank you for that piece of info. A year of not coming to these boards really gives one a memory loss. tongue.gif

@Jazzflyff
By the way, don't put [ ] round the filenames - that was just editing marks.
