are you still having problems login in masehi? If so try clearing your cache and cookies, then try again.

Hi,
I have the same problem.
I registered with Zymic and was trying to create my first free web hosting account.
The account was created successfully but I had problem logging in.
After entering the password, I got this message:
You have been logged in correctly. You will be now redirected to the index page...
But after that, I got this:
Login Required
You currently are not logged in to a site. Please log-in through your Zymic Control Panel
I tried to reset the password, clear my cache and cookies, restart my browser, use different browsers (FF3.5, IE8, Safari4), etc. Nothing works.
'DroNix' (on IRC) suggested it could be my firewall, but I disabled the firewall and still got the same problem.
'Bread' on IRC suggested that I use a proxy.
I used the proxy and it worked!
But I do not want to be doing things through a proxy all the time.
And I kept getting requests for my password.
Call me paranoid but it is really not a good idea to give away passwords.
Maybe tech support can reset the password themselves, get the thing fixed and email me the new password instead?

i've done some testing with this problem.
by unchecking the 'remember me' box, it turns out, i get logged out everytime i refresh the page.
also, the problem does NOT occur when i use a proxy.
from my visits to other sites, i find that my ip address is not constant, which should be the cause of the problem.
so zymic checks your ip address when logged in?
strangely, this (obviously) does not occur with my forum login... or anywhere else that i've been.

Major problem.
I decided not to wait for the solution to the login problem and start doing my work through the proxy.
But when I clicked on the link to upload files I got:
404 Page Not Found!
The address you have entered has not been found. This may be due to an outdated link, typo or a page no longer on our system.
This website is hosted freely by Zymic Free Web Hosting.
Our free web hosting comes with PHP, MySQL, FTP, and a web based control panel. But best of all, AD-FREE!What's the point of telling people you are offering free hosting when nothing works?

The site works perfectly for nearly all of our users. It is your ISP that is causing the problem.
Please can you join the
IRC for assistance and helping us solve this problem.

@Dave,
thanks for stopping by!
do you think its possible to remove the requirement for a consistent ip address?
the fact that i can log in to the forums without a hitch must mean that this can be fixed.

same thing right here...
so does that mean will zymic track down our IP and allowing only one IP log in??
is there any other possible solutions other than using proxy??

unfortunately, as snoopyeo points out, using a proxy is NOT a solution: cant upload files through a proxy.
for now, i've resorted to using my neighbour's internet connection (with permission, of course).
i hope they'd be willing to rework the login system to accommodate us...

I agree with xzang (obviously). Especially since we have no problem logging in to the forum, I do not see why the login control for the web hosting should behave differently.
Just a few follow-ups:
1) I was able to login to the free web hosting account temporarily just once (and only once). Unfortunately, when I tried to click one of the links inside, I got kicked out again. This at least shows that the problem probably isn't with my machine (a.k.a. not browser, firewall or whatever problem).
2) I was able to ping my IP address consistently over the past week. So I think the problem may not be that of a changing IP address. The login control of the web hosting service is depending on some token that is not guaranteed to be consistent for a small proportion of users (since Dave says it works for nearly everyone else). And as mentioned, I don't see why they need to use such exotic things for login control.

Like Dave said just stop by the IRC they will sure help you. And it could be the FireWall. Because I used to have this issue. When I dissabled it it worked.

hi Dronix... now I can go to my Zymic control panel.. I figured it out few days ago... I think it was because my Firefox addon.. I use cookie monster for my browser.. when I set it to allow the domain site, then it turned out. I can go to my control panel.. thanks for the attention
now, I am busy trying to set up my website.. hehe.. ^^ hopefully I can get thru to it..

snoopyeo, can google "whats my ip address", find a site that tells you what ur ip add is.
refresh the page a few times n see if the address changes? usually only the last number changes.
i dont think pinging is conclusive, as that ip address could have been assigned to somebody else.

I have confirmed that my IP doesn't change. In fact, it didn't change for months. I had given up. No point wasting time on something as simple as logging in
