Hi, I'm doing a resource page for photoshop and other stuff like that.
I find that uploading my files to mediafire, filefront, and other filesharing sites tend to be unreliable due to the fact that after about a week or two the download link disappears.

I was wondering, if I upload my files, how can I make them available to download by the general public?

I have a lot of C4D's, brushes, renders, stocks, and .psd's that I'd really like to get out there.
Colin
I think deviant art lets you make it available to download right?
Kitani
Yeah but it would take ages for me to credit each individual author and upload each material. Besides the filesize limit isn't that great.

You can compress them into .rar or .zip files. Then upload to your site, then provide a link to it, then just lay back and wait for them to download it.

I'm not too hot with linking to files on the site. Would it be
CODE
<a href="kitani.zxq.net/nameoffile">File Name</a>
??

Yes, that would work for a link to a file. But you should add atleast a http:// to the url address, and a www. if you want to.

like adam should if your going to put the whole link then you must include the http://

you could also link the file like in a CSS link.

Example:

<a href="files/downloadme.zip">Download File</a>

<a href="http://tester.zzl.org/files/downloadme.zip">Download File</a>

Would be exactly the same thing. Sometimes its good to compress your coding if you can.

Okay, thanks guys.
