I want to suggest adding a person in #zymic on irc.zymic.com to op ( @ ) for the late LATE night stretch (2AM+ EST). No i am not saying "give me ops, give me ops" I'm asking for someone who currently trusted and has something like half-ops ( % ) to get full ops ( @ ) not super-ops ( & ) (unless you feel it is so) for late night. This can be done automatically, from time A to time B (the late night time frame) this person will get the full ops ( @ ) and be taken away then it is not time. I have seen this before on other IRC networks, not sure how they do it (think it is VIA a bot) but I know it is possible.

Yes, I do have a person in mind, NaRzY. He is on late night a lot and currently has half-ops ( % ) and has been helpful to the extent that his half-ops ( % ) let him be with dealing with spammers and pests that come out at night. Most of the full ops ( @ ) and super-ops ( & ) are AFK/sleeping or are already logged off by 1:30 / 2:00 AM EST and are not around to help moderate #zymic. Givng NaRzY full ops ( @ ) will help moderate the channel better in the late night/early morning.

If you are on IRC, you will notice my nick, and probably me not talking. This is because I leave IRC on 24/7 for nick alerts and such and you may think I'm a bot or just never active, but this is not true. I'm on late night and have noticed the need to a moderator and thus have posted this here.

And what advantage will op over halfop give him, exactly? The essential functions for short-term moderating are all accessible for halfops.

Good point. I think it's a good idea, but you do have a point...
