Full Version: Mass Emails Sending Function In Joomla And Phpbb

Hi admin and friends,

I want to send out emails to my users using the email functions provided in php.

I observe that zymic has forbidden its use. Because of that Joomla and phpbb are not able to send out emails.

I need to ask you that is there a way out? I need to ask you out in 2 ways

1) can I use different settings of smtp server address such that emails are sent?
2) Is the email sending function disabled in paid hosting also?

My site is totally authentic and I am not a spammer. I hate spammers more than anything else. I understand your restriction on the send email function to prevent spams and fraud. But you should understand, its also harming the innocent users.

We need to figure out a middle way.
Dave

You can pay a one off fee of $10 to enable the mail function. Join the IRC for more information.

Thanks for the reply dave. Is the $10 for mail() valid for 1 year or forever? Also If my zymic account has 5 domains, will the $10 open it on all 5 of them?

Is there any other alternative thats free.
Dave

There isn't an alternative.

The $10 is forever but only for one account.
