How do you think the idea giving an domain in exchange of hmm.. ads?
Well i know that the word ad might be a blaspheme in this host..
But why not? Simple placing a ad-sense banner or an image banner or just text ads..
Well that might have also to do with each websites trafic.. e.g a site with almost zero traffic makes ads.. useless.

true, you could do a IP checks...

which would also tell you if a proxy was used....

It seems like a good idea, but then you'd have to think of Click fraud, Proxies, and robots (There are some out there who just click the link from a hundred different IP's a day).

Googling the IP or doing a Whois (Not always accurate) could prevent this.

Will its very easy for some people to change their ip...
Start >> Run >> Type cmd press enter >> type ipconfig /release >> unplug your modem >> plug it back in >> when it is done connecting you are under a new ip...That only works for users on DSL or Cable internet (maybe more, I have tried on both dsl and cable internet service...)
One thing you all could look into starting is a service simalar to http://www.domainlagoon.com But make it so the person only has to have 5 points if they want the domain to be on a Zymic host account and 10 points if they want it to be in their name (they control dns and such...) Or you could like require 5 pts. for full control and sell adspace on the site...

It is even easier on most dial-up connections. You just redial to get a new IP.

Hmm click fraud.. then it will be based on traffic and not ad clicking? but that is useless..
Or A very very very very very very very big ad banners xD..
or just place ads...
