Hi,

I cannot upload certain types of files. But these are absolutely necessary for me. What can I do ?

I am trying to experiment with a CALL (computer-assisted-language-learning) website for 9-11 year students of English (EFL), as part of my teachers training course. I am a complete newbie and don't know how to solve my problems.

There are certain files that seem to be inseparable part of the java crossword and wordsearch applets I have used, then there are 3GP (.3gp) and MIDI (.mid) files too. It seems these file types are not allowed by Zymic !

The list of file types that I have failed to upload so far using Filezilla are:

*.cwe
*.wfe
*.wax
*.3gp
*.mid

*.cwe and *.wfe are extensions of files that contain essential info of the crossword and a wordsearch applets I have used (made using "Crossword Express"), and the applets don't work without them
I had to use 3gp audio files a lot in exercise feedback-popups, because 3gp format keep the audio file (voice) very small -- which is absolutely essential in this case (because kids won't look at feedback-popups for more than a few seconds). WAV or MP3 are impractical here.
Lastly, *.mid files are for sound effects and to keep the files small for the low-bandwidth we have where I live.

Now, what can I do to make the applets and the audio files work ??? I see no choice apart from using the cwe and wfe files, if I want the applets to work, and I see no choice apart from using the 3gp and midi files - if I want the audio files to remain small !!!

Any help from anybody ? Any advice? Can Zymic allow these files ??

Thanks.
