I cannot connect to my web site hosted by zymic, using progams like Dreamweaver and CuteFTP.

Here's what I know

1. I can somehow get into the control panel

2. In a browser, I can see my default home page using http://mysite.vndv.com/index.html

3. I purchased a GoDaddy domain named mysite.com

4. I did the GoDaddy nameserver changes to point mysite.com to what zymic said ns1.vndv.com and ns2.vndv.com

5. It's been three days and I get some flash error when I go to a browser and type http://www.mysite.com

6. The control panel tells me my ftp address is ftp.mysite.vndv.com

7. When I use this in programs like CuteFTP, ftp.mysite.vndv.com comes back 'unresolved address'

8. But...when I use ftp.mysite.com it passes and gets to ask for a password, none of which work

9.I've got so many usernames and passwords for this host. Sign up usernames and password, site usernames and passwords and forums usernames and passwords.

QUESTION:
Is there one place I can go to find out how I cannot to my site. I need three pieces of information. FTP ADRESS, USERNAME and PASSWORD.

Can someone please help. I've been working on this setup for a week now to no avail.

Thanks

You need to provide some more information if you want the staff here to help. mysite.vndv.com and mysite.com does not help us look it up and ensure it resolved correctly.
However for yout FTP issue, your address is not ftp.mysite.vndv.com. It is just mysite.vndv.com with your login details.

Here's the site name
kalinastudio.com
or
kalinastudio.vndv.com
not sure which is right

I have an index page but nothing shows up under either of the above. It should be a black page with a header called Kalina Studio.

Do you need my some of my usernames and passwords as well?
Thx

While I truly appreciate free web hosting as much as free sex, it seems to me that the world would be a better place to live if anyone who signed up for (any) website received an email with the following

1. your website url before nameserver change
2. your website url after nameserver change
3. your ftp url, username and password
4. your forum (if present) url, username and password
5. your control panel url, username and password
6. your relative path to files on the server
7. your mysql username and password

One email that removes the need to spend three days figuring out paths and addresses.
I have an excel document filled with date just for this one website installation and it's not working yet.

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS DIFFICULT, PEOPLE OF THE WORLD?

After a few hours of mixing and matching ftp addresses with different username and passwords, I finally found the right combination that would let me CuteFTP into the server. I can see the index.html file and everything. Trouble is, the site will not show up. Permissions on index.html seem to be all RWs so that's acceptable. I type in A and it converts it to B (some other crazy url...that ought to be against the law by the way).

Can anyone tell me where my website is. It's lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I can access the server using CuteFTP, is there a reason on earth why a browser can do the same?

CODE
FAIL (the browser should render some flash content, not this).

You have a flash issue. Nothing to do with hosting.
