I am trying to add a news feed to my website, and example would be like this websiteFappin, I could only get a peek at it through the Way Back Machine, as the site is now down.
The part I like is the links in the middle with topics like "news" "cool" "scary" etc. and it allows comments to be made to the topics, as well as a thumbs up or down rating if logged in.
Users with permission, or maybe it was all users pending approval, could post a link pic the topic head pic, and it would show up on the site.
I think the site is in asp with the .asp extensions, and I am not sure if asp is allowed on zymic, but I would easily settle for a php or python version of this script. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. At the very least, I would like to know what that kind of script is called. I have looked for ages, and cant find anything that worked for me. Is this a content manager or...?
Thanks again for your help =))
p.s. I was also wondering if I could do this with php, is there a way to link its database with my current forum database, that would rock! O.O But i'll settle for two databases. xD
