Can you please help me with this issue. I have tried to change the files permissions but error message will not go away. I think its just a matter of ticking the correct boxes such as r w or x.

Configuration file Not protected
The file sites/default/settings.php is not protected from modifications and poses a security risk. You must change the file's permissions to be non-writable.

Thank you

When you click on the permissions icon (the yellow paper icon with a key) there will be 2 sets of permission settings. The first is grouped as u[...] for "user" and the second is g[...] for global.

Just untick/uncheck the "w" permission box on the second set (g). That should make your settings.php unwritable by others.

Hope this helps. cool.gif
