I configured and added my custom domain in the control panel; also changed the name server on GoDaddy. But every time I type mywebsite.com, it's still goes to subdomain.zymichost.com. Any ideas as how to fix this so that it stays on mywebsite.com/?

Hard to guess without seeing the options from GoDaddy, but sounds like you got the mywebsite.com domain forwarding you to the subdomain.zymichost.com.

If you can give more details on the configurations on GoDaddy might be better to get help from someone here.
