Hi there. I installed a clean version of wordpress on my account.

I have a blog hosted on wordpress.com since december 2008 , with ~ 500 posts and i want to import it here.

My xml file has 6 MB , and the limit set by wordpress is only 2 MB , i think you know this problem.

I need some help , i tried the version uploading a php.ini file (like here) who set de limit to 40 megs but didn't worked , i search all the forums and all the internet to solve this problem but i didn't find the solution.

Please help me , and contact me with a PM/email or with a reply , and if there's a posibility for seding my xml file to some tehnic members who can upload my database , or i don't know what to do.

My wp blog on zyminc is here , and if you need other informations i am ready to give it to you.

Thank you very much !

Hi! You can split the XML file up manually and import it, at least that's what I did when nothing else worked. Just remember to add the proper header (mine was 109 lines) and footer (3 lines) on each piece, and split the files between

. Takes some work, but gets the job done.. Good Luck!

Thank you. I tryied your method theLennoxx and it worked well.

I finish in ~10 minutes , even if my xml file was near 100.000 lines.
