I choose files to delete individually and have tried multiple, as FTP isnt working at the minute and it says "Deleted 0 files and 0 dirs."

Anyone else have the same problem?

Yeah, I have that problem as well. However, you can still delete files through the FTP. When it's back online, if it isn't already.

I have the same problem. I couldn't delete some file from file manager or FTP.

This is again due to the read-only issue. But its probably yhr last time anyone is getting it, because zymic is FINALLY switching servers on Monday. So the read-only is part of the transfer. Everything will be fine by Tuesday.

Keep yourself updated by reading the topic in the News/Announcements forum. They will either update the current topic, or post a new topic when the server switch happens.

Also when you posted that it's only 1:33 AM here... about 6am in the UK (where the admins are located) but the vndv server is located in the US, so you'll have to wait a bit.

I am having this problem now kind of... I can delete some files but the files i want to delete won't. I've tried deleting them trough the file manager and through FileZilla and it wont let me. I have also tried to change the permissions to 777 like Faizan said further up the thread on both the file manager and FileZilla but the permission kept reverting to their old ones Can anyone help me?

Make sure hidden files is set to on. And look for an .htaccess file or similar hidden file.

Same problem but I get a specific message that the particular file cannot be deleted.

I can't find a .htaccess file or anything hidden. I can give anyone that wants it a list of the files I have in the folder/directory i want to delete. I get the specific message when i try to delete via FileZilla.

Well Jack has posted an update in the news forum, the server is in Read-Only mode therefore you won't be able to delete add or change any files on the server.



Next time post the EXACT error that you get when you have a problem, we could have avoided all the troubleshooting and I could have told you right then and there that the server was in Read-only mode.

Oh, ok thanks. I'm assuming the post will be updated to say when it is no longer in read only mode. The strange thing was, i could upload, rename and delete other files, just not the ones in the one specific folder

And Jack was saying the server had been going on and off, maybe it finally just gave out when you tried to upload that file. (Not saying it's your fault )

that is true. I think there are a few of them too.

the servers will be down AGAIN.. or if not, then you can access if in write only. the reasons why you can't delete is because either the server is in write only, or you did not chmod the files.

What's the point of posting if you post the wrong information constantly.


*update* the server is now back to normal. So no more Read-only issues. You can try again Shoaulin, let me know if you still can't delete those files.
