I am new to website building and I would like to use Wordpress. How can I do it? If I download wordpress 2.8.5 what are the next steps?
Another question if zymic is not wordpress ready, is the use of their free or at cost templates mandatory?

Full Version: Wordpress 2.8.5.
If you havent done so create a site by going to control panel
after that log into that website,
go to MySQL Database Management
You are going to create a database username and a database name
then on that same page you assign the username to that database
You are going to need your username your database name your FTP address and ftp username which is still found on that same page. and the port is 21 mostly
next you are going to unzip wordpress, if you dont know how to google 7zip and from there extract files using 7zip (7zip requires download and installation.
There is a readme section in the extracted wordpress folder, read it and follow instructions remeber when you edit the sample document to save it as php. you can edit it with notepad.
upload all the files the quickest way is using firezilla. which is another download but its very simple to use

But have we upload those hundreds or thousands files via FTP one by one? Is there any other way like the famous Fantastico installing scripts or something?
