Hi,

I recently installed a phpBB discussion board. Now, every time someone tries to upload an attachment or avatar gets the following error:
"Temporary folder could not be found. Please check your PHP installation."

It seems that a "tmp" directory is not defined in PHP or it is not writable. But the funny thing is that yesterday I had no problems attaching files! It just started happening today.

Can someone help me, please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can contact a sys-admin?
This is clearly a problem that must be analysed by one of them.

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Same here,

I'm just a beginner, huh.gif
Just set up a new Phpbb 3.05 website, everything work out fine,
just stuck in the avatars upload, error returned
"Temporary folder could not be found. Please check your PHP installation" wacko.gif

Google that, and found out it has something to do with the "php.ini".
But I can't find it in my site, does anyone solved this problem?

Please let me know the trick unsure.gif

Unfortunately we cannot edit the php.ini. I believe it is for security reasons and I admit it is probably a good idea.
But that could be easily done by a sys admin.

It is clear that these configurations prevent us from having a forum (and most probably other platforms) on our websites and that is something most users don't want to not have.

Does anyone from Zymic even read this forums?

Regards.
