I really do not have a very strong opinionated view of this but I thought I would create a topic and see what others think.

With the recent news of Jamie Lynn Spears becoming pregnant, I just wondered what you thought of her decision to keep the baby and the news (not sure if its 100% true) that her longterm boyfriend Casey Aldridge is not with her anymore.

She now her to deal with his mistake as she has realised but it will be a long road. Im sure alot of people will give her support but its surely a step that werent meant to happen.

Views?
Ed
Excuse the cliche... but where were the parents?!
Cspace
This is a thing I dont seem to get either, a parents actions cannot stop a daughter/son from doing what they please. Yes they can advise etc but they really just cant stop it happening. I'm guessing they did most likely bring her up properly as it seemed she and her mother had a really strong relationship. The question 'Where were the parents?' just cant be asked, as they cannot supervise a teenager 24/7.

Another thing about how 'Britney influenced her' is being said to. I seriously doubt this, as she has seen what her sister has gone through and I doubt she wanted to have any of whatever was going on.

What is done is done, it only takes sex, and between two young people, one wrong slip in not using protection and it somehow turns into the parents fault, or a member of the family, at the end of the day they made the decision.

I really don't know why.. but i burst out laughing at this bit, haha

Meh. IMO, you don't want a child then either:

1. Don't have fucking sex in the first place, dumbasses.
2. Or, use contraception. It's something called a CONDOM. YOU BUY IT, STICK IT ON YOUR COCK AND USE IT WHILE YOU "DO THE DEW" (rofl). GOT IT?

I have NO sympathy for people who do not do either of the choices I listed. Sex, in itself, is fine. But if you do not use contraception, then you are basically saying you're prepared for any consequences that head your way. From pregnancy, to some sort of STD. If you don't use a condom and didn't want the "downsides" of sex, then you should never have had fucking sex.

I do not support underage PREGNANCY. I'm not a fan of underage sex myself, but I'm the legal age so it doesn't matter for me anymore lol. If you ask me, underage sex is fine. But only if you take precautions as to not get pregnant or get infected with an STD.

I shall never give support for anyone who gets pregnant from underage sex. Unless they're my own children, that is the one and only exception. To get pregnant at 16 is pathetic and you if you didn't care about using a condom whilst having sex. Then you accept the consequences.

Sure, you could get an abortion or adopt the baby out. But why should you? It was YOUR mistake. So you punish the child for it? This, is why I do not believe in abortion myself, because a fetus is still a LIVING organism. It still breathes, it still eats, IT STILL LIVES GODAMMIT! To get an abortion is to kill something that never got to see the true beauty of this world. You got to, and you wasted that by having sex without a condom. You got pregnant, and so, you basically killed the unborn child just so you could have an easier life.

And the worst thing about it? The people who get it, don't even give a fuck. And I've seen many cases where the male in the "relationship" say's he'll be there but where the fuck is he when the damn baby comes? That's pure cowardice. Afterall, it's a females mistake to have sex with a guy without contraception. And it's the guy mistakes to choose not to wear one at all.

well if someone gets themself pregnant its just their responsibility and nobody else's business.

Exactly. And yet, in the case of Jamie Lynn Spears - she told a fucking magazine. Some damn privacy the stupid bitch.

but i don't feel the need to be stupid and not use protection... (unless im drunk)

I'm 17, and yes i've done it quite a bit myself biggrin.gif

but my gf is on birth control. the LAST thing either of us wants right now is a baby. That's one thing we don't need in our lives right now >.<

XyberForce
I see no reason in really giving a shit about teenage pregnancy. Sure, way back in the '50s not many women got pregnant. But think back way in our roots, or the amish people/middle east or whatever bullshit. Most women get married, fucked, and have a child at around 14 years of age. Talk about being brutal.

At least with her, it was consensual. (or was it) Some 14 year olds in other parts of the world get pregnant and no one gives a shit.
Nexus
In some country the legal age is less than 14. And in others, women get pregnant at even younger ages. The youngest mother in known history, was 5 years of age. Need proof? Easy.

You do know birth control doesn't catch everything. My know someone who used birth control and ended up having a child, and is having their second child soon.

What a slut. laugh.gif

Calling her a slut is sick. Saying that implies that all victims of rape (and who got pregnant) are sluts. Which isn't true. However, there's nothing confirming she was raped now. It's too old a case.

I know like 4 people that this has happened to. "Most pills have an effective rating of over 97% -- when taken correctly. This means that the exact same time every day and never being late. If you are ever late or miss a pill, that can erase its effects and you can get pregnant. If you think you may be and you have missed your period, take a HPT."

MrTouz
You brought back the 2 week old topic that i missed tongue.gif

To be honest, for me the age does not really matter. I mean yea... if you are 14 and no shit about a life and got pregnant that's just plain stupid and moronic from you and your parents (if they knew of course) but fuck... if you are 16 17 and got a shit load of money from your sister... i mean... who gives a shit... the kid might not be feeling good which is bad for him/her but fuck at least he/she will have some $$$.

No not everything is about money... but if you do have the $$$ than you can 'allow' your self some 'pregnancy'. But shit if you don't have the $$$ its certain that you might not be able to cover the kid's needs.
___

I personally know 1 couple (knew) that had a kid while being 16 (both of em) my friend (the guy) said she got pregnant and they both decided to keep it... for me that's bullshit... being a dude in his situation... i would not keep it... (16 struggling at school and not a load of money) i believe she fucked him over and kept the baby... all i know now is that the baby is with the girls parents... coz of course... she does not have money, no place, no job, and of course she was 16 or 17.
IamShipon1988
Garo, why are you being one sided on this topic? Think about it. To many people, abortion is a crime where you are killing a life. This past summer I went to the bodies exhibit in New York City (the one on Fulton Street) and I saw the portion of the exhibit where they shows how the baby is during each month of the pregnancy. To be honest, if my girlfriend was pregnant, I would want to keep it because I can't live with knowing that I would kill my first child. That is insane. Note that this is how a guy would feel. Think of how the female would feel. Something that is in her belly being killed. Something she would stick with her for the rest of her life since it was inside her once. I honestly can't handle that.
MrTouz
I am sending the ball right back to you Sazzad tongue.gif

I would more think for the baby's side. I mean ok... my personal situation :

- At school not knowing what i am doing.
- No real job (where i can handle a family)
- Still live at my parents
- My parents can't afford an other kid (yes they can but in a certain way everybody can)
- No girl that i love, no girl that i want to marry.

If during sex somehow i get a woman pregnant... i mean it can always happen... i do not have a girlfriend where i went to a point where we get tested together so we know both of us can have safe sex without condom, so i still put one on... but we know condoms have there failures... but lets just assume it did happen and after a while we get that she gets pregnant now :

This is how I personally see it :

I don't like the woman to a point i want a kid with her
I don't have the money to afford a kid
Telling my parents they got to help me out will be a total shame on me for doing such a stupid act
I don't have my own place
I don't have a good job
I am not done with school

Where is this baby going to be ?

- Of course if she has it... not my choice but now its here there is no claiming its not mine... my mistake i deal with it (right ?)
- The kid will live between her / me

I will personally will not be able to keep it to me and definitely not the girl i fucked. I mean... last thing i remember - the girls i am having sex with are between 18 and 24 they are all in school (if my memory is not being a bitch tonight) and none of them will be able to afford, care, or take care of a kid.

So it will either... end up to our parents having a kid that lives with my parents is just horrible knowing that he or she will be living in 2 different houses with 2 different families, not knowing who is who and will be totally lost when one of us finally has a life and wants the kid OR not.

Or end up in DAS or DASS i never knew how it was written... basically the place you put the kid if you can't afford or are not able to take care of a kid.

How can that be good for a kid ? and for my self ? Or the girl i fucked ? Or my family ? Or her's

5 parties... 5 of them being screwed over one condom failure.

____________________

Now above is my own opinion ... of course but that's my case... i know i can not afford to have one... no time no money and no one. Now OK !!!! if its the Spears... than fuck yea... they are rich... they definitely don't give a fuck how they raise a kid (look at Britney).

____________________

I personally want 5 kids. At least. Sometimes i say 2 or 3 but nah... when i think about it :

Grand parents from my fathers side, they had around 8 kids (i don't know all of them... some in France, Canada, US, Lebanon, Armenia)
Grand parents from my mothers side, they had 12 kids.
My parents had 4.

I carry the Krikorian last name, in my fathers side out of around 30 grand children we are only 2 to be males both named Garo after our grand father and are only 2 that can carry the name of Krikorian to our kids.

I want 5 kids, 5 boys. Only if i can afford it. If i can afford 10. I want 10.
If i can't afford 1 i will have none.

(the word afford above is used as of : time, money, stress level, and any other way you can think of)

Who the fuck wants a baby at age 14, anyways?

Whoah, whoah. Calm down, buddy. Did you ever stop to think that some people don't like the feeling of condoms? Or what about the fact that most (I don't know anyone personally who doesn't agree with this) people feel that NOT using a condom is many times better, in feeling?

Also, you can still get pregnant with a condom on - It's called a hole in the condom, etc. Accidents happen.

Also, I do have sympathy for the girls. How do -you- know that the guy didn't pressure her into having sex without a condom? If so, sure she went along with it, but pressure can do alot of things to you (I'm a firm believer in peer pressure - drugs, cigs, drinking - it's happened to me). If he pressured her, and she got pregnant, why wouldn't you sympathize for her?

Lastly - "Do The Dew" just makes me want to barf when thinking about sex... It makes me think you want to take a can of Mtn Dew and pour it over your lil pecker as lubrication for the deed you've set before you.

It's not our fault your girlfriends got a dry, nasty tasting vagina.

smile.gif

Anyways - Underage sex...

What can be considered underage sex nowadays anyways? Under 18? Who's to tell you when -you're- old enough to have sex? Everybody matures at their own age.

I've met 14 year olds more mature than some of the 20 year olds I've met before. I've met 14 year olds smarter, too.

Sex shouldn't be something people should be all uptight about. "OMG Gotta wait til I get married!!" - Not quite. "Can't have sex til I'm 18!" - Even worse.

Sex is fun, exciting and it just feels damn good. Do it when you want, how you want, where you want. Life is all about experiences. Be as safe as possible, but have fun!

IamShipon1988
Nicely put Jetteh. Often when someone says they got pregnant they right away assume it was the girls fault. In most cases it is the fault of the male. Do you know that half of the time (this is from a study I read) your female sex partner will not feel pleasure from sex! (This is assuming you have had sex over a few times). They fake it or play along just to make you feel good. So don't blame the female for this.
Robdale
Underage Sex & Pregnancy is not good for any woman, it can hurt their life, in that case they can loose their lives and it will be not one but two. Many incidents like this happens in India in some areas of Rajasthan also may in other countries too. The underage Marriages are done and the small baby has to pay for it.
well, as said by "Grumpy" if someone gets themself pregnant its just their responsibility and nobody else's business.
So, they should think of their own, what's right & wrong for them. If they don't its their responsibility.
I don't support Underage Sex, Pregnancy & Marriages.

off topic but I love your signiture.. laugh.gif

back to the topic..
we can say that the parents were irresponsible for having a 16yr old daughter pregnant for this may be the sign of lack of guidance for their daughter, but we should also realize that parents can't watch out for their siblings all the time, what if the girl usually comes home early, and the parents thought that she was doing well, but at the fact that she maybe meeting with his man earlier just to keep things secret between them.. the girl was 16 and she should know what's wrong and right and also the consequences of what she were doing, so I guess.. I wont blame it on her parents but its all her fault.. dry.gif

Lol Jetteh, you put it just perfectly.

Poor guy that my girlfriend is fucking besides me... i can safely say that i have the good half of her tongue.gif

Half ? it's a bit too much for me to be honest. With the girls i have sex with more than once.. yes you can actually tell when she does not like it. I am sure people will agree with me that if its your girl friend... or a partner... that you have sex with often... you can notice when she does not like it.. or when she does... if i know she is faking or does not like it, i won't have sex with her again.

I am personally about the 'giving pleasure'. Sex is intercorse (if its how you spell it) between 2 people. Each one of them has to bring something, i don't only get pleasure by geting my dick sucked (sorry for expression) or when i shove it in. I love touching her, smelling her, and going down on her... just the fact that she is happy makes me happy.

But oh well... this is a totally different subject.
Jenie
sex is good as long as you are careful. how much is a condom compared to a years of misery.
think twice to stick it on..

me too satisfied with the point that it is the parents responsibility and society too to have a control on all these stuff....We can teach the right thing and tell them about the problems and responsibilities after that!!!

Excuse the cliche... but where were the parents?!

Yeah! Parents play a very important role in dealing with this. If the kids are guided about underage sex and pregnancy, cases like Spears will be, if not totally eliminated, lessened. Being 16 is the most crucial part in a teenagers life because of curiosity, peers and the society's influence. This is the stage in which Parents' guidance is most needed. It still boils down to GUIDANCE.

This reply to the topic I have pondered for quite sometime, since my joining, and I hope everybody, somebody, anybody takes no offense as to the nature of its contents, I'm going to sincerely attempt to keep it PG-13 rated (but I'm not in that business of censoring the natural law(s))

A poem I perchance stumbled upon (I believe I got it right), Author: Unknown

There was a most important job that needed to be done,
And no reason not to do it, there was absolutely none.

But in vital matters such as this the thing you have to ask,
is who exactly will it be who’ll carry out this task.

Anybody could have told you that Everybody knew,
that this was something Somebody would surely have to do.

Nobody was unwilling, Anybody had the ability,
but Nobody thought he was supposed to be the one.

It seemed to be a job that Anybody could have done,
If Anybody thought he was supposed to be the one.

But since Everybody recognized that Anybody could,
Everybody took for granted that Somebody would.

But Nobody told Anybody that we are aware of,
That he would be in charge of seeing it was taken care of.

And Nobody took it on himself to follow through and do,
What Everybody thought that Somebody would do.

When what Everybody needs so to do did not get done at all,
Everybody was complaining that Somebody dropped the ball.

Anybody then could see it was an awful crying shame,
And Everybody looked around for Somebody to blame.

Somebody should have done the job and Everybody would have,
But in the end Nobody did what Anybody could have.

It is my opinion: (generally and quickly noting)
The legally status'd adult (aged) that could, would, and, should participate fully in the governing affairs of their private existences are to be lifelong responsible to their endeavor(s) of any creation(s) (living and non-living) in all matters that one chooses to participate in/by the one's free will.
There is an obligation of everyone, someone, and anyone to speak up and correct a perceived wrong so that the perceived wrong may become a perceived right through effective communication to maintain the current established societal norm.
The legally status'd children (under aged) of the aged need nurturing guidance from both of their parents to developmentally evolve to partake in a legal society, this nurturing is additionally re-enforced in support by the/a community-at-large in which the under aged is environed. When such aged guidance begins to fail (or is perceived leading to failure) the aged are obliged (you want the best for the child, don't you?) to enlighten the under aged of the full ramifications and subsequent consequences, good or bad, of the under aged's persistent action(s). Should enlightenment not take an aged desired effect, a parentally administrated instruction necessary in and of responsible encouragement from the under aged parents must occur to maintain the current perceived legal societal normality.
(We, as we are, in the mind do not perceive thoughts in words but rather in pictures that we then attempt to either communicate or effectively communicate. This choice of non-effective or effective communication is up to the individual, once again in/by free will) As the under aged are, as a general rule, not held accountable for their action(s) and the responsibility for mis-deeded action(s) fall back upon the parents - this is not to be confused with good-deeded action(s) in which we (all noticing) applaud and credit the under aged in/for their advanced achievements (advancement in/by the achieved) and on occasion graciously notice the parents.
The legally status'd child (under aged) has the necessary obligation of heeding the voice of experience (the aged) to keep from perceived dangerous or ill-fated destination(s), or on the other hand, to keep in perceived enjoyable or well-fated destination(s) in/of the life ahead of them. The under aged has an inherited unalienable (if not inalienable) right to free will agency- but as an under aged that right of and in agency is to be held checked by the parents (it is this "checked" agency that sometimes leads to rebellious behavior(s) against the norms of society by the under aged).

In an Industrial (non-Aquarian) - here: I'll call it legal - society there is no real need for children (save the aspect of replenishment of suppliers and consumers in/of/for Gross National Product, GNP).
In an Aquarian (non-Industrial) - here: I'll call it lawful - society there is need for children (to assist in chores about the land to provide ease for sustenance).
To touch upon of a Godly (non-Industrial and non-Aquarian) society: Go out and be fruitful and multiply.

As the world generally is an Industrial society: Boys; keep your pants on and zipped/buttoned up, Girls; keep your knickers on and up never allow your skirt to be lifted up until such time as the two of you become of legal age and support yourselves first and then provide for what you can afford secondly (It is not my responsibility to financially pay for your mistakes that your parents allowed to occur through their own negligence and/or laziness). If you do not there are legal consequences that will run your life (may be even possibly ruin an otherwise bright future) and lead to further discontent of your already restless and hollow self-serving personality.
As, if the world, generally, were an Aquarian society: generally as a rule: The Amish (and like in temperament) don't have computers so this reply will not tolerate the topical discussion.
As, generally, if the Earth remained as it was in the beginning this topic would not even be in discussion anywhere for any reason, everyone would already know and adhere to the instruction of God. (It is with respect that the term "God" used here is not dis-respective or respective of any particular faith or religious practice(s) of any - but rather to give eloquence to Divinity worshiped).

I'm not a psychologist, nor a teacher . . . I'm just nobody.

A lot of young girls really admire those two Spears brats. Hell of an example they set. Now a lot of young girls will probably think it's cool to have a kid while they're still in high school or something.

I think it's okay as long as they have work or something to give to their future children. It,s more better it they are graduate and have their own work.

But if they are wanted to do it and got pregnant then they must gave their baby a good life.
adom
My oldest sister got pregnant at fifteen, as the result of a faulty condom and had the child when she was sixteen. I myself am only sixteen and the idea of having a child scares the living crap out of me, so i can only imagine what my sister went though. Her daughter, Samantha, is now five years old and one of the most amazing children ever. My sister is in the army(military police) and fully supports her daughter. Sam's father, even though him and my sister are broken up, they are still very much a family.

I understand that every situation is different, and my sister was lucky that my whole family was supportive of her. At the same time though, being a teenager who is sexually active I think that shit happens. The end.

It's that simple. If a teenager is stupid enough not to use a condom, they should expect to get pregnant. But for those of us who DO use a condom every time, and it slips/breaks/etc it is extremely unfair to be judged with the one's that don't use condoms at all.

'Underage sex' really isnt even about age in my opinion. If you are mature enough and understand the risks, then go smash, have fun, because sex is a completely natural thing.

Also, as a side note IamShipon1988
"half of the time your female partner will not get pleasure from sex!" or however you put it- i could totally see that being true, as the female, i can agree with that, lol.

In my opinion, baby is not a mistake but a gift from God, not everyone is capable of having a baby and aside from that there isn't any rules that is saying that it is not right to get pregnant at an early age, though it is not ideal. She is not only person who experience that kind of situation, maybe let's not make a big deal out of it.

Sex is not just for Enjoyment. sex is a process of combining and mixing genetic traits, often resulting in the specialization of organisms into a male or female.
An organism's sex is defined by the gametes it produces: males produce male gametes we can say sperm while females produce female gametes we can say eggs; individual organisms which produce both male and female gametes are termed hermaphroditic.Sexual reproduction is a process where organisms form offspring that combine genetic traits from both parents.
Kiddo
It is really troublesome to meet such kind of problem, one can just take the responsibility to face all the facts.
