Hello Webmaster,

I have some small (under 7MB) presentation movies for some of my products presented in my shop. Today I tried to upload a new presentation movie to one of my new designed product. I saw that is not allowed!!! Also I checked on forum and saw that .avi extension is not prohibited, but is not present in your list with allowed file too... Please add it!

Regards,
Thoceuia

Hey, I don't think we'll have .avi to the list for what ever reason but you could just convert it to a flash file (.flv) would be somewhat easier me thinks.

Yes, I know .avi is not in the list (is not on any list - allowed or disallowed files). Could you please to add it to your allowed extension list? Flv and flash movies does not represent an option (due to licences and software which does not work on linux to produce flv files). So, I can't wont go to .flv for many reasons. Anyway, I used .avi in the past without problems on my website HOSTED HERE. I am using small .avi files for presentations of my new products. So, if someone is reading this post, please add avi to allowed list or, permit it for my website (if required I will provide it, but I think you can find out easy, using my forum username).

No, we will not be adding .avi files to the allowed filetypes. It is too easy for someone to breach copyrights.

Convert the file to flash and use Flowplayer from http://flowplayer.org/. This will allow you to add play pause stop etc.
