now we have been talking and here are what is said right now

Not going to be added

SSL - self assign cert or purchase ssl would be to much for a free web host
Fee for FSock and SafeMode - High abuse and its disable system wide and can not be enable per hosting account
create/decompress tarballs - mostly for servers and game servers sites.
Ability to enable/disable hotlinking manually (with a list of allowed sites to hotlink) - due to our security settings it will not be enable
Ip Deny list - it will not just disable one house or computer site but a main section.
More servers per domain - need more info on this one
Zip support in php - it will be mainly used for back-ups same as zlib or gzip
XML - Remote connections
enable .xsl - required to process XML - due to XML being disable

What do you mean xml is disabled? I can upload and view xml files. phpinfo() also clearly shows DOM/libxml/simplexml/xml/xmlreader/xmlwriter are enabled. So if the only reason not to enable xsl is xml is disabled, maybe that's not a valid reason?

XSL definitely works outside of php. Here's an example: http://sbru.zzl.org/collection.xml

The code to do XSL transforms is the second line here:

However, it would be nice if the native php xslt libraries were available.

XML remote connections have very little to do with XSL.

XSL is the link between XML and HTML. XSL is a standard way to separate data from presentation. Without XSL, you will stunt your community's growth.

How would this feature be used?

This feature would be used to separate data from presentation. Take this example:

The webmaster creates

data.xml
desktop.xsl
mobile.xsl
tablet.xsl
index.php

Then a user, let's say with an iPad, views index.php. Index.php figures out the user has an iPad and generates a page through XSLT containing data.xml formatted with tablet.xsl. The same index.php can detect and display pages for desktop users and mobile phone users all with the same data.

hey how come we dont have error logged enabled? for example on some hosts you get an error and it makes a log in the root directory displaying the error so people can download it from the root see the error, and fix it !

2 suggestions for pay services

1.
i will be willing to pay a small feed for the ability to run ftp within the site itself or any other future that will make installation/updating of joomla compents/plugins less painful and time consuming,

example of usage and what i mean in joomla when u dont have the ability to just install (needed requirements turned of here because of security reasons understandably)
joomla can install using its built in ftp, however ftp dont work from whitinn the site, also security reasons i guess.
That leaves no option other the installing from temp dir and pray it work, 95% of the time it dont because installion can not create directory whiteout ftp or zlib function enabled, so please make one of the 2 available as pay service, this will also make u joomla friendly.
as for security if just people that paid for it gets it unlock t u can easy keep track of the sites using it and check for any abuse

if price is right i would love to get the database auto backup t for easy restore if something happens , don't need the site itself just the database

side note: i not been doing much on my site for a long time because of real life and lack of time, now i been having some time again and decided to continu, to my knowledge i already have all pay services available on main site but im out of the loop so pls pm me or list here all available pay services u have atm and sorry for my bad englich

first its not uploading that is what is stoping it its zlib not being enable at all and second all users are responsible for back-ups we have decided not to have this for any user at all

i know that i used to work with servers, judging by the reply u most have misunderstood my suggestion ,that or u have no clu how joomla built in original ftp work or what it is designed for.
Its not designed to simple upload files as a ftp program is explanation follows.

zlib is stopping from just simple install or update yes u are correct but my suggestion was not to turn zlib on because i know u will never do that,

joomla standard ftp funktion is not a ftp in the way many think of when thinking ftp its not designed to upload your sites files from hard drive like a ftp program is , there is not even anywhere where u can do that unless u install a extra mod for it
it is simple designed to install and create folders/move the files needed for the update/install using ftp instead of zlib, when zlib is turnd of, u install from tmp directory and the built in ftp do the rest in theory i never tryed it myself but thats the info i got from joomla

a alternative way to update/install mods and plugins noting more noting less, by having both turned of, u give no option other then manual updating that demands many hours and advanced user

Having ftp function available as described above post gives u a alternative way to install and by doing so u will be able to update and install even if zlib is turnd of,
as it is now u can not say u are friendly to joomla acceptable and possible to run but not frindly considering it demands a advanced user to be able to update install needed mods/ plugins someone who can manually install and update database and have hours to do so, allowing ftp to run within the site will give a alternative install and will make u joomla frindly whiout zlib or seeuity issues that comes whit it,
Personally i dont think ftp whitin the site can cause any more security problems, its a simple solution that saves your users that use joomla alot of headache

Probably been stated time and time again but the ability to pay to have zlib enabled... or perhaps the option for paid hosting on Zymic, with additional features such as zlib enabled, greater bandwidth and domain space, and a higher traffic priority so pages can load quicker.

Only that I now have an smf forum installed, but it seems slow and is impossible to install new packages. However, I did manage to install it with no problems using the installer.

ok u wont enable zlib or ftp whitin the site for joomla alternative way to create folders and so on when installing,
that still leaves one option that at least will alow u to install some maybe most needed mods by uploading them unpack t in tmp directory and install from there
atm that dont work in most cases, not always because of above but because of file owner settings

atm all files uploaded to a site hosted on zymic have owner setting :vhosts change the owner so website owner or site itself it set as owner to the files alowing ftp installers to make the needed changes to files, eng is not my native lanuage but i think u understand what i mean

and i did NOT make a suggestion about zlib even if i mentioned zlip for other reasons that will be clear when u actually read the post

your lists do not take up the suggestion i made and when someone make a suggestion its not to much to ask for to get a answer to the suggestion in question but no first u answer something not even suggested then u refer to your 2 lists where the suggestion in question is not even mentioned

we had someone suggest about zLib and ZIP on PHP and ive talk with the server admin, he said he will not add it on the next update. we are always welcome to new suggestions, just first read is all i ask

i know that already been suggested, i even suggested it myself way back, however again my last suggestion had noting to do with zLib and ZIP on PHP actually it had noting to do with anything u been writing or answering so fare, what so ever ,
I pointed that out already , granted my grammar is not very good seeing eng is not my native language but how u can get , (post 20 last on page 1) to be about zlib or zip i can not understand
All i ask is that people get response on what they saying and misunderstandings happen but normally u then read again or ask when thats pointed out , in other word communication its a principal and sorry if i overreacted some ,

my suggestion had to do with owner of files from :vhosts as all files are now, to account owner or site itself as owner this will allow at least many installers and almost all upgrades to work if files first uploaded already unpack t to tmp directory of site and installing from there

explanation to why
the biggest problem is the installer dont have the right to modify files when upgrading even if its made from tmp directory on site, this will solve that for at least some mods probably most,

if u even enable to run the built in ftp on top of that almost all will work installing from tmp directory not just upgrades because many installer and the built in ftp is designed to create folders needed using ftp when installing, if zlib is turned of, its not designed to upload files u need extra component for that, so even if u just change the owner on files to be site itself that will solve most or ftp whitin site or both u will be more friendly to cms system whiout the need for zlib or hours manual upgrade everything

Can I suggest an update of Mysql to the last version? It could be a good solution even for security, being the version installed no more under support.

I would like to be able to use a domain name without changing the domain name servers (I want my website to be a subdomain).
Why should we add this feature?
Because some people might want their website as a subdomain of their domain, not the top level domain.
How would this feature be used?
It could be done using vhosts and DNS records, people would set the IP of a subdomain to the server hosting their website, and a vhost in apache would have it link up to their website.

you would use A Records to send over your sub-domain and you should be just fine
