Hi.
I am very new to this and I am trying to learn.
I have created a file 'index.html' but do not know how to upload it to
a root directory.
Where is, or how do I, create a root directory.

Thanks, ajk

ajk,

First you need to download a FTP Client. (FileZilla is what I use myself)
Now you need to sign in to your FTP client using your FTP details. (Host, User, Password, Port) You can leave port the way it is.
Then it will log you in. Once your logged in you will be in your root directory. Click and drag the index.html into the FTP client and you file will start uploading.
Finally, your main page is up.

using zymic control panel I go to file manager.
Press upload, browse the file, and make sure it goes into the directory / (I think that's the default but someone more knowledgeable could correct if I'm wrong)
Seems to work about the same on other control panels I've tried out.
Good luck!
