I am using the source code for a wordpress blog personal. I installed the plug-in Supper cache to make my blog run faster than I receive this message:

"Warning! PHP Safe Mode Enabled!

You may experience problems running this plugin because SAFE MODE is enabled.Your server is set up to check the owner of PHP scripts before allowing them to read and write files.

You or an administrator may be able to make it work by changing the group owner of the plugin scripts to match that of the web server user. The group owner of the /www/99k.org/l/e/h/lehoangitvn/htdocs/wp-content/cache/ directory must also be changed. See the safe mode manual page for further details.
Error: Your cache directory (/www/99k.org/l/e/h/lehoangitvn/htdocs/wp-content/cache/) or /www/99k.org/l/e/h/lehoangitvn/htdocs/wp-content need to be writable for this plugin to work. Double-check it.

Cannot continue... fix previous problems and retry."

I can't install it.

And another problem is I can't connect to Akismet server. This is notice:

"There was a problem connecting to the Akismet server. Please check your server configuration."

Please help me config hosting.

Regards.

The solution to your problem is in your error message. It says :

QUOTE(lehoang242392664 @ Jan 21 2010, 09:33 PM) *
Error: Your cache directory (/www/99k.org/l/e/h/lehoangitvn/htdocs/wp-content/cache/) or /www/99k.org/l/e/h/lehoangitvn/htdocs/wp-content need to be writable for this plugin to work. Double-check it.

What this means is that you need to set the file permissions of the /wp-content/cache folder to 775 or 777 in order for the plugin to work. Simply open up your FTP program, goto the folder, right click on it and click on "properties" or "permissions" (the exact name varies on what program you are using).

Example:

Why does this error exist? Zymic is set to Safe mode, this is to prevent scripts from changing file permissions on your websites that could lead to security breaches. When your dealing with 1000's of websites this is a reasonable move. The module your installing has a script that makes a folder and tries to set it's permissions. Zymic won't allow it to do that thus you get the error.
