There is like a gradient that goes from blue to white under some things that I don't like much and I thought the "Latest News" box was a Google ad at first.

Hmm...I think there are too many boxes, maybe do something different with the main content.

not bad if you were going for a simple white/blue template.

I think you can add more content and a nice header to make the site look more professional.
