Hi,

I bought some php scripts with no instructions on how to use them. I only speak and understand English, not forum-geek-speak, just to warn you all.

The scripts allow webforms and unique codes that can be used in the webforms. A site visitor enters name, unique code (good for one download) and email. Then a masked download link is sent to them.

I'm supposed to edit some information in the "inc/config.php" file. What the hell is this? I'm also supposed to do something with a text file I need to upload.

They also sent me a whole slew of files such as application.php, .htaccess, error.php, email.mail, a bunch of images, mints_form.html, mints_request.mail, secureimage.php, vlibtemplate.php and a million others. Where do I upload these things? In the main directory of file manager? Or is there some weird button in another language to push in phpmyadmin?

I look for tutorials and all I find are things like "How to configure your config.php file" and a bunch of gibberish about databases and such.

Are there any for dummies style guides that are free and show the step by step process? This is ridiculous. No one's speaking English any more.

If anyone can help, please help. Otherwise, I'll have to pay $20 that I don't have each time it needs to be installed. No can do. Money may cause people to speak English suddenly, but there is no money yet. The eforms have to come first before the money comes in.

Thank you,

monkeywisdom

I'm afraid it won't work as the scrip most likely uses the mail function to send the emails. This feature is disabled by default, to enable it you'll need to pay a one-time fee of $10 USD. For more info join the livechat
