FTP for vndv should be working now. Please join the IRC and speak to a member of staff if you are still having problems.
I'm just getting Waiting for server... from Dreamweaver again. It's not even eventually working, either. It just times out, producing an error.
i cant connect ftp
Still down... this is second problem experienced with ftp since joining and I've only been here two days. Bit concerning as I was thinking of moving my paid-hosted website here... I'm hoping I just joined at a bad time.
Seems we are having a rough patch with vndv FTP. It is being worked on, please have patience.
FTP Timing Out, yes I can see that there are perhaps some problems with vndv accounts, I am also using FileZilla and it is correctly set up and does connect (eventually) but all I get:

I am only trying to upload a 4 kb index.php which keeps failing for the above reason
and curiously, some php files that I had uploaded yesterday get a 404 not found error (they are very definately there) whereas a readme.txt file does open - same happens whether I use www or not. Not sure if these probs are related, but I guess something is amiss....

Pity isn't it... Everything else about Zymic is great.
Almost 4 days now and nothing.
I have to leave the FTP on overnight to upload a CMS site with 2,000 files.
What is actually wrong with the FTP here?

sometimes i try to upload using a client ftp the problem is nearly the start of trnasfer always send my "Risposta: 421 Too many connections (2) from this IP" why i have some file to upload actualy is 200 and upload that file from pannel is very hard in alternative is not possible upload a directory from pannel?

How are you people getting anything up? I can barely upload a 3kb ascii HTML file in an hour.
it's horrible... slowly, very slowly... pls help!!!
Total time for PostNuke about 8-9hours.
Awful speed and transfer failures. I could not upload even 3 Mb-s.
When FTP and SQL, (phpMyadmin), is King in CMS website management, it seems these two functions do not work.
It is OK for a host to supply a service for pure html content but php needs more and the above two services are essential.
I realize that it is free but I test hosts on the idea that free works and upgrades are for those that need reliable hosting, (which normally is based on the free service), for larger, (ie 1gb sites with all the functions), bit difficult to put this host in that category.
Looks neat though and for those learning their trade this is still a good host.
Just use static content and learn your html and css here for now.

Yes, i have the same problem, and i cant enter in http://www.zymic.com/zcp/ Or is a white screen or says he can not connect.

This is getting ridiculous now. It should never take any hosting this long, free or not, to fix an ftp issue. I'm a patient person and totally understand and tolerate server problems, but this length of outage is completely unacceptable for any service. It wouldn't be so bad if we actually had any updates from the admins about the progress of the issue, but we haven't even had a single acknowledgement that there is a problem or if it's even being looked into... It looks as though they are ignoring the issue - which I certainly hope not.

If you take a look at the earlier posts, you can find out that everybody have (more or less) the same problem due to the lasting misbehaviour of the FTP hosting.

I'm assuming this has nothing to do with the FTP because the FTP is clearly not fixed.

I can login to my control panel for sportschannel.vndv.com with my password... but I cannot login to the ftp with the same password.

Increase the timeout value on your FTP client.

Even stretching the timeout to 2 minutes on CuteFTP isn't enough, I STILL get timeouts, but at least the timeouts are no longer on the authentication, it's in transfers.
I don't think FileZilla has those options.

Your problems are from July 23.
The timeout value helps to get a connection, but it doesn't help with the terrible upload speed.
I try to use it with several clients, but most of the time, they are unable to establish a connection:

This is getting stupid now. I have been patient, but this is beyond a joke now. Almost two weeks and FTP has been completely unusable. I had such a high opinion of Zymic too...
hmmm I'm having the same issues with the vndv.com domain. It connects to the server, accepts my username, but hangs on the password and then times out. I'll try using the built in control panel file manager, but if this persists, I'm going to have to see about using a new host.
EDIT: yeah right, the file manager is crap because you can only upload one file at a time. this sucks.
Any chance there's an update on it?

I keep being told that the server isn't available when I try to publish - & I'm talking about one very small page that I'm trying to upload

Let's hope so... It's been over two weeks... There's so much I've wanted to do and haven't been able to because of it. I would normally have switched providers by now, but I want to give Zymic as much a chance as possible as they seem to provide what seems to be the best service (and I like the community the most). Unfortunately I joined at the wrong time, it seems.
Everything has been flawless with the VNDV FTP server for the past day for me.

I'm trying to upload using iWeb 2009 by entering the ftp info, but it never works! help! it says this: There was an error communicating with the FTP server. Try again later, or check with your service provider. help! why wont it work ever.

What details are you entering (minus your password)??
It seems the uuuq FTP server is also a bit off today 
According to cyberduck it will take more than 2 hours to upload Pluck CMS (3.0 Mb Flat-file CMS).
