Hi, i'm having issues with FTP.

Works fine if i connect with fireFTP etc, however in wordpress (adding/removing plugins etc) it gives me an error?
Using the same credentials... Any ideas?

My website is cswb.vndv.com and I am suddenly having trouble connecting with FileZilla. For the host name I use cswb.vndv.com and for the username I have tried multiple combinations such as "cswb", "cswb_vndv", and "cswb@vndv.com" and this is what I always get:

Status: Resolving address of cswb.vndv.com
Status: Connecting to 207.210.86.253:21...
Status: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".
Error: Could not connect to server

I know the password is correct and I am using Port 21. This used to work for me but one day it just stopped working and I haven't been able to connect since. Can anyone help?

EDIT: I am able to connect when using the ftp client built into DreamWeaver, but am still not able to connect with FileZilla.

i just signed up today and am just wondering if its normal for FTP uploads to go at 1kb/s or less?

does anyone know of an alternative way to get files on the server without having to do them one at a time in the file manager

its just when that happens too many people are accessing the ftp server and it will slow down the server

is it not possible to use ftp in jombla? on zymic that whould be a alternative when u want to install mods seeing Zlib turnd of,

except ftp root its the same settings my ftp prog on comp is using so why wont it work

take out the ftp:// from the host and you will be fine

Some mods are to complicated to install manual, well im sure they can be but idk how.

There is 2 easy ways to install mods in jombla 1st is using normal install that demands zlib and wont work on zymic and not needed either seeing there is a second way to install that is easy,

That is to upload whatever mod u need to jomblas tmp directory and install from there but that demands in most cases, that the ftp settings works, for jombla to be able to create needed directory's, so please what do i set the ftp to?

I am also having trouble to upload a site triugh FTP - FileZilla. All credentials are, of course, entered correctly.

Password is OK - it is the same one as for this forum. In addition to that I've changed it to something else and tried again with FileZilla - but, with no success.

ok so your host is mysite.zzl.org and your user is mysite_zzl and the second password that you type in to get to your hosting control pannel and the port is 21

yesterday i created a new free webhosting for me, but I lost my ftp informations (user name,adress,pass etc..) and also i deleted 'my account data' post from my inbox(hotmail) mistakely how can i find them? I recently tried accessing my .vndv site through ftp, and was unable to log in. I tried using both Cyberduck and Fetch. I triple checked my settings, and I made no mistakes. Attached is a screenshot of the Cyberduck login window which failed to connect via ftp.

If anyone can help me here, I would much appreciate it, as I require access to the files within the site. I also tried using the File Manager on the control panel of my site, but it only partially loads and does not give me access to any files. In addition, I'm greeted with a 404 Error when I try to just view the site from my web browser. Thanks in advance for any help.

I tried to upload .jpg and .png files several times and it didn't work. I was able to do it once a week ago but then never more. The files size is less than 55 KB.

I've been monitoring the Zymic Twitter page and the most recent message says that FTP is back up but it's apparently not.

im glad they know, but... is their any kind of estimated time of repair? im probably one of many unfortunate people who had a major revision of their website that needed to be posted, and then... half way though the upload it quits.. or.. just wont allow it at all. i'd just like to be informed.

Please, somebody can tell me what's the problem with ftp access? I can't upload any file to my site, appear a note of temporarily disabled (or some like that, my mind!). I use an apple with mac os x and WYSIWYG website design software and them I don't know another way to do.

I had been getting the same problems. It occurs when trying to overwrite an existing file on FTP with a new one. I got around the problem by deleting the destination files before uploading. It now uploads correctly and also overwrites correctly now.

Its not my connection issue, other FTPs work great.

Its not terribly critical that I update my site but it would be nice if this was fixed its been 2 or 3 days now.

Hi, my problem is that I cannot upload my heavy files because every five minutes my ftp gets disconnected from the server... it goes in and out all the time so when it goes by 75% the connection falls down again...
