i m using file Zill FTP client
when i connect to my site it gives following error

i got a question i uploaded my html files and they show in there but my index will not show after i replaced the one that was there only way i can see my page is if i add index.html after my site do u know wut it could be or do i have to wait a day or so for it to show up?

i've been trying unsuccessfully to log into my site through ftp. I've changed my filezilla program and everything to make sure that everything was up to date and working and still nothing. I just sent you an email about 10 min ago with my account details but i really think there is something wrong because the files that i upload on file manager also dont show up online. they are in my file manager but i cant access them through their individual urls.

People if you want assistance to your issues, you really need to supply your urls; it could be a million and one things causing your issues.

Erin, I found your site in another post of yours, I've had a look at your settings, the directory to which you're uploading is correct. If you can provide me with your zymic user and password; then your hosting password I can probe further. We'd prefer you not send emails and rather use the forum and post in the appropriate thread, we do manage to miss some threads occasionally though.

This is the first time I try to connect through FTP to the site (it's still empty) but I get a "Connection closed by remote host" error every time. Now, it seems it's somewhat common for the FTP service to go down, is there any way to know if this is the case?

I have the same issue as Diablo unfortunately. It was working last night but now i can't access my site via FTP although i can use the built in filemanager stilll.

same case to me, i think somewhat common for the FTP service to go down (for several minutes) is true for free hoster only, am i right? cmiiw
i hope admin can explain this issue asap

All the information is in your e-mail, just find the FTP part with your username etc, add all of that exept the password, put in the password you made on signing up, type 21 in the port box, and hit quick connect, you should login

Ok. I started uploading joomla then it stopped and then I couldn't delete the folder, I thought it was because I uploaded all the .svn folders with it so I tried one without but now I can't even upload a single file and nothing will delete, help please?

You will need to wait for the DNS to fully propagate before you can access your website. It usually never takes anymore than a day, so give it 24 hours.

I hope it's just something stupid, but right now I can't access FTP. Was able to completely yesterday. I'm using SmartFTP and haven't changed any of my settings. And my domain is trippin.zxq.net

Sorry to add to the list. I signed up for a free hosting account earlier today. Everything was working fine and now I can't connect to ftp or do anything in the file manager in control panel.

putting in domain as tilt.clanteam.com and username as tilt@clanteam.com then my password. Also tried using my username as just tilt

My domain is: tilt.clanteam.com

It appears our FTP server has dropped, we're currently investigating the issue.

I've tried many times in the last few days to upload files using FileZilla. I've used the information I received in the confirmation e-mail for using FTP, but I can't connect.

I've read over the tutorial carefully and followed the directions, but it doesn't help.

I do notice that everyone who has posted seems to have a different format for their username, etc. So I'm wondering if there's an extra step I'm meant to take to reformat my username and password before uploading via FTP. In the tutortial, the username format is also completely different. None of the examples have "hosting" in the middle of their usernames, etc.

Please let me know what I'm missing. Is there another tutorial I should read before the one on FTP?

FTP doesn't work for me and I am trying to upload a test forum. I have tried logging in with my own password and username but it still doesn't work. I tried the one I got in my email and it still doesnt work, I tried in Internet Explorer and it didn't work, tried in SmartFTP and it didint work. What's wrong?

i have a small problem with ftp

i decided to use FileZilla and when i try to connect to server i get such a text:

I have been trying to connect for a few days now and it doesnt work. I am using the username and password sent to me via email when I setup the domain name.

Ok so I have a question about FTP. I'm using "FTP explorer" and it wors and all, I'm connected. Now what do I need to do so I can change my website from the "congratulations your website is up" page to what I want? I've been using notepad to play around with offline and I downloaded all the files from my document t FTP explorer. Is there a way for me to access my sites source code so I can change it like that?
