I'm having an issue with getting my dreamweaver to access the ftp account.

I followed the instructions.

FTP Host: pumptehshotgun.99k.org
Host Directory: /
Login: pumptehshotgun
Password: *********

I checked off passive FTP and use firewall, then clicked "Test", which comes out something like this.

"An FTP error has occured - cannot connect to host.
Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information."

Somebody want to help?

The delete post permission seems to be disabled for members, so if any moderator desires, this post may be deleted. I've solved my issue.

Anyone else use winscp? Seems like ftp problems are very wide spread and consistent here. FTP is simple and I have never had any problems any where ever except with this free hosting site. Any insites here? very frustrating. Is this done on purpose?

I have over 6000 files in one folder, they all show up in the web file manager but only 2000 show up in the ftp listing, is this a deliberate limit for ftp or am I doing something wrong?

Good morning,

Whilst trying to upload via FTP or the File Manager form, I receive either PHP or a message from the FTP indicating out of space. Of course, as a new account, I'm at 0 in terms of space. Am I doing something toolish, or is it truly out of space?

Hi,

First port, so here goes. When I try log in using FTP i get the following:

Response: 220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
Response: 220 You will be disconnected after 60 seconds of inactivity.
Command: USER controlit@zxq.net
Response: 331 User controlit@zxq.net OK. Password required
Command: PASS ********
Error: Could not connect to server

WHY?

I've tried again and again. I have the right Host, and username. It keeps telling me the pw is wrong. I've tried EVERY password. Zymic.com Pw, MySQL pw, FTP pw, forum pw, CP pw...Nothing works..Help?

H4X?! FTP is acting weird, some times it connects, sometimes it says:

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

H4X? Why does that happen?

after few hours working with ftp, i got problems:

gFTP 2.0.18
Successfully changed local directory to /home/damir/Desktop
Looking up damir.zzl.org
Trying damir.zzl.org:21
Cannot connect to damir.zzl.org: Connection refused
Waiting 30 seconds until trying to connect again

Hi, anyone tried using this with DORGEM. It's a freeware webcam capture program. It can FTP images up to a website. Can't get it to work with the Zymic website though.

Settings are as follows ...

ftp host camera.zxq.net port 21
username myusername@zxq.net
password mypassword
file picture.jpg

any ideas why it says error uploading?

It works fine using normal FTP to the server, just can't get DORGEM to work

I don't know too much of FTP, I'm learning right now. I have some "trouble" I don't know if it's my fault or an error.

The problem is when I try to delete a folder, it says that I can't change something, here is a part of the log:

I can't access ftp for http://diy-t.99k.org. FileZilla was working fine, but then in the middle of a huge transfer, it just quit and would not connect again. I have tried multiple times to manually reconnect, but nothing works.

I don't think I crashed the server. The overall upload size wasn't that big, there were just hundreds of small text files that are painful to upload by hand. Anyway, it's working fine again now, and My problems are solved.

I'm new at this and I'm not sure what I did wrong. My images didn't transfer so I tried deleting what did so I could send everythin again. Now it seems to be transfering but I keep getting a 403 error. It definitly appears to be transferring and the index file is there. I'm using FileZilla. Is it possible I did something else wrong?

Is it showing anything under the Failed transfers tab at the bottom of FileZilla?

Check the news delta. That should tell you your problems. I think anyways if my calculations are correct there taking hard drives out and swapping servers. Please be patient and your site should be up again soon.

Im having a problem usin ftp to upload an html file.

Here is the log:

The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.
1) Please verify that the destination host name or IP address is correct.
2) Verify that the connection port number is correct (under Site Settings | Type tab).
3) The remote server may be temporarily or permanently inaccessible (try again later).
4) Verify that you have chosen the right protocol (SSH2, SSL, FTP, etc.) and have setup all required options for that protocol.

I have all the correct information set. The username and pw and port number are all correct aswell.

I just used it and now I got this error, I hope someone could help me resolve this issue. THX!
