Is it a problem at Zymic? because it seems many others are experiencing the same issue.

Please note that the vndv hard drive has gone into read-only which is why your forums are not working.

Please be patient while the admins fix this and check the announcements forum or live irc chat for updates.

Yep the admins are working on it, just keep checking back every so often for new posts.

I am unable to upload using the tools in the account control pannel as well.

Mmkay, having some major issues. Trying to install phpbb forum software (it's allowed as far as I know ) and I get error messages regardless of what I do.
Using filezilla to upload, every file immediately fails, with the message that I'm either out of diskspace or that the connection failed to start (I'm using about 1% of my diskspace last I checked)
Direct FTP through Ubuntu Linux, when I try to put the forums folder into my FTP folder it fails to make the folder, says "operation not supported by backend". So I make the folder myself, and all the folders within it. Then I try to upload just the files, and it says "File unavailable". Don't know what to do about that. But now, when I'm trying to make new folders via FTP, it keeps saying "File unavailable".

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit; now I'm getting "Connection reset by peer" when I try.
(I have a 99k.org account)

Medjam8 Post the information your using to connect to FTP, like your domain and what your using for the username.


BartMan__X you have to add @zymichost.com to your domain username. So it would be bart@zymichost.com for the username. Try that and it will work.


Don't connect with the username ukronline@vndv.com only ukronline for the username.

I have same problem 'Connection timeout'.
Im using exact login informations from mail and i tried 3 or 4 FTP clients...

I've been unable to upload to my sites again. Dreamweaver isn't able to connect, again. While trying to connect, I timeout.

It's because your not using the correct username.
Your username should be aasges@99k.org

when I try to FTP I get an error saying that it is a readonly file system

you have a direct hookup to the server. that's why you know it is working for you. please fix the ftp server and let us access into our servers to edit.

Regarding FileZilla, I can see a clear pattern here, that of an “incorrect” password. Could there be another password for FTP access, different from the one with which you log in with ?

Regarding Core FTP Limited Edition, I have to make the following conclusion: the server doesn’t seem to like my IP address, so this could be due to the fact that I am from Romania.

One more thing should be mentioned. Access of the FTP interface works like a charm with Mozilla Firefox, doesn’t work with IE 6.

My IP is: 89.37.146.202.

Hope the information stated above is coherent enough.

If someone had the same problem and resolved it, it would be wonderful if it can be related.

Uhm, i have FTP working and all but im having a problem with the uploaded files. when i try to use the Picture else where it gives me this, "The address you have entered is not open to the public."

How can i fix this?

here is a solution for vndv users who cannot use the ftp because there password is "incorrect" i discovered it this morning when trying out different ways



the solutions is ...

u have to set up a new site so push ctrl s (filezilla i dont know about other programs)
set up ur site like u would noramally

but change it to account in the dropdown menu

for a example of what to do
host: xraystudios.vndv.com
User: xraystudios
password: mypassword
account: xraystudios@vndv.com

so enter your imformation like that and you should connect

it worked for vndv but i do not know for other hosts if this will work

I can get in maybe 2 times out of 100
then it just kicks out

I keep on getting a timed out error, could not connect to server

I get this more then anything I cannot upload anything with the FTP like this?
Maybe its just an issue and I dont know about some downtime??

Hey @lex you were trying to connect to vndm.com instead of vndv.com through coreFTP!!! So you get "can't establish connection". vndm.com is another site and they don't have port 21 open so coreFTP can't connect to it.

What a typo!! Lol

Hi I put This here hope some one sees it.

I am new to this host and have been uploading files using FTP built into dreame weaver , all of asudden it no longer can up load files and says my site direcory is read only i havent changed any thing or in used the zymic control paqnels file manger. here is the error message:

Seems a bit low, but its not my hosting service.

Im wondering if I step up to paid services will I still have such weak FTP support?

I just clocked Xtreemhost's ftp to you guys with phpfusion (full install) and it took about 30 seconds to upload to xtreemhost, 10 minutes later im still sitting here uploading it to zymic?

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Im not saying xtreemhost is better than you guys as I get a lot of pop ups in my cpanel for porn, im just trying to figure out why the uploads are SOOOOOOO slow...

Yea, I'm having FTP uploading issues too. I believe they are in the process of moving their servers, so they may be running on temporary machines right now. I can connect to the FTP site, but it extremely slow at uploading. Just be patient, from what I've read, the people at Zymic have their hands full, but are fully capable of fixing everything.

i cant really do anything my servers going to be fore gameing and i have thousands of files 2 gigs of map files and stuff like that but all that happens is that i either time out have to manny connections or im just plain disconnected

i hope this gets fixed
