Oh, well.... last time I tried, it worked. Today, it doesn't work... what can I ask for free service?

ftp is still down of vndv.com

When I try and upload to the server using either Filezilla or Windows Explorer, I get a message that says the server is Read-Only. I know that I cant complain from a free service, but I have been trying to get this uploaded for a few days. I need this for my site to be complete.

is this expected to work again soon?


i cant upload anything and php doesnt work either.

i was uploading files fine via ftp using smartftp when it suddenly stopped uploading with the repeated message retry at xx

i have restarted the transfer, restarted the connection to the server and restarted the software. all to no effect, i am still unable to upload files

any suggestions?

It appears that the server has gone into read-only again - so uploading ect won't work. They'll probably be a fsck soon.

Don't know - it takes 3 ish hours to run, and when it starts depends on whether Jack is in or not, and whether the admins at his host respond quickly or not.

Hi, yesterday I could upload, and today I cant, re 'error renaming file", I'm using control panel not ftp.

Just getting my websites up here for the first time so now I have half of one site and a quarter, if that, of the other which is annoying but I guess it can't be helped.

Don't worry about it, you're not the only one that makes that mistake. I think when we got the new vndv servers i did the same thing. Happy FTP'ing

when I try to upload using filezilla or smartftp, I get the upload failed error.

Once again Zymic doesn't disappoint with another few days of servers being inactive.

It's really starting to annoy me. I'm going to jump onboard my friend's hosting for free. A 95% uptime and all the storage I'll want.

I'm getting fed up with these constant downtimes.

I think you're using filezilla from the look of that log. The problem is that Filezilla times out after 20seconds, and the Zymic server can take a minute to respond.

The solution: Edit, Settings, Transfers. 4th box down, Timeout in seconds. Set that to 120, and try again.

And thank you for being the first person in AGES to have an ftp problem that wasn't using the wrong username...

It's not a user name issue because I get the error regardless of which way I set my user name (@ or no @). I also know I am using the same password that I used to register my account, my site, and these forums. It works everywhere else but my ftp login.

I also set my timeout to a longer delay per the last post, but to no avail.

Nevermind, I just found that I WAS using the wrong user name. Duh, nead to reed moar.

yonane - If you have started transferring files, that message is not an error. Zymic limits the number of connections, to prevent a single user using them all, and your client has tried to use more than the permitted 2. Either reduce the number of simultaneous connections, or ignore the error.

and i tried deleting some images that got botched on the upload through the php ftp admin system and it says "that image can't be deleted

ftp servers disconnects. after 30secs if connected through socks5, active or not

the max filesize is 20mb when you upload with ftp, 2mb with php . i need to uppload 40 http://c0re.vndv.com/
