Also, I believe the non-vndv domains require the @, so possibly squeakyclean@zxq.net, but I'm not 100% about that.

All the other domains besides vndv domains require the @domain on them. VNDV domains only require the sitename and nothing else.

Is there a problem with the FTP server for vndv.com?

I'm trying to log in (With FileZill) and get:

You have two problems

1) Try a username of v6svn

2) Edit, Settings, Transfers. 4th box down, timeout in seconds. Change to 120.

umm. code it. what type of file did u upload? if its a pic, code it to an html doc, if its an html doc, just write the link and it should already be uploaded.

3ds if you're trying to access FTP via a php script, that function has been disabled. You will have to manually FTP everything.

I'm new on this forum, however I use Zymic for half a year (or something like that). It works awesome, but only problem I have is FTP.

I use Filezilla ftp client. It works fine on some other servers but here on Zymic I have problem with a login.

What happens is:

but sometimes with the exact same information it logs in without a problem. And the second problem is that while I'm uploading files (It mostly happens if I'm uploading .zip or .rar files which are no larger than 7MB) it just brake up the connection and says:


My first thought was my internet speed which is dl:1,5MB/s ul:512kB/s, but that kind of speed shouldn't be a problem, right?

I really want to get rid of those issues, because I'd like to have web page which is updated at least once per two weeks and with this issue is almost impossible. Looking forward for your help.

It is a shame there is no way i can do this because i need FTP to work true scrip or PHP-SafeMode security mode disabled I thought i did something wrong bud if it is because of the web server i need to find one that does provide this.

Hi, this is my first email..

I have recently signed up with zymic but there's no way i can upload ANYTHING by FTP. (using gftp on linux or ciberduck on mac). I can initiate session with my login and i can see (50/100) my root directory but when i try to upload a tree of files sometimes fails at initial transfers or sometimes fails along the process with an upload of 1KB/s or less...

I don't know if this issue is a temporal one but i'd wish to get my site up quickly. What's the problem with FTP?

I'm using Website X5 which already has a FTP client in it. I keep getting errors. I put in my information but it says I have to talk with my internet provider?
I've attached my info. I'm also not sure what my addy is since when I registered yesterday there was something wrong with the site and I had to create a username for the forum and the hosting.

If it's an FTP client, you need to use just your site name as the username. Leave out the "@vndv.com". Just put "anubeginningproductions" as your username. If it's not a FTP client, then it won't work and you have to get a FTP client then to make it work.

Thanks after I posted this. I retyped everything in and it worked. Another problem I'm having is getting to my site. I'm guessing a need a domain name so others can get to it? I'm still learning about all this.

Er, what do you mean? If you need others to get to your site, anubeginningproductions.vndv.com would do. If you mean the Bad Gateway, you can't do anything about that. It's a server problem. The admins are aware of it.

Your site does exist, here. What you are complaining about is that it hasn't been indexed by google yet. Have you submitted it to google?

The picture you've shown is not of you putting your site into a browser, but of you searching google for your site. I'm getting slightly confused about what you actually want to do.

my FTP ist very slow. The upload-time for one file( 500kb) is 1-2 minutes.
After each file it´s reconnect.

Ya...same for me..FTP workin..but VERY slow...it took me over 2,5h to upload 1,98mb (ok...LOTS of small files..but anyways..1min for 2kb is extreme.(Newest Flashfxp, Ports Forwarded, Upload enough and nothing else in my network is running) I only get often the common Bad Gateway or i can access the Control Panel of the page, but not the page itself..
I really hope you guys can manage that move of the servers soon. (Or is it already done?)
Anyways...since im new around here...thanks pretty much for offering such a great service...the features are incompareable to any other free hosting server^^
Hope you will find some sollutions for those annoying buggys.. (Seperated FTP and File servers and use of mirrors? )
Cant wait till its done how you intend it to be..

(P.S. eforme .. how about to read a book about network techniques, Protocols, Client - Server stuff and general Web Development? If its too much at once..i recommend using webhosters for *Newbies* like www.freewebs.com...

Why the error states "No space left on device" ??
However, I am using not even few % of my total storage for my hosting.

I use dreamweaver, I can connect to the server but when I go to upload pages/images I get this message;

index.html - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put index.html. Access denied.
The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.
Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.

I am using a mac to create my website. I created a site with iWeb and exported it to a file. I am trying to use Easy iWeb Publisher to upload the site via ftp. My website is www.prisonbreak931.vndv.com. I tried using ftp://www.prisonbreak931.vndv.com and then prisonbreak931 as user name and my password (I am sure it is correct) as the password. It also says folder to publish to and i had "/".
It came up with this error

Also, don't talk to me like you're superior. There are many people complaining about this sites server and the inability to upload their websites just like I am. THE PROBLEM IS WITH YOU. I COULD CARELESS IF YOUR SITE IS UPLOADING THE FORUM IS TO DISCUSS MINE. GET OVER YOURSELF, PUT SOME WATER ON YOUR GOD COMPLEX AND FIX THE PROBLEM. This has been going on for three weeks. hello, i can upload files, but once they're up they are just different
im having problems uploading a basic html file its a black background with two swf files, i can upload the swf into they own folder just fine, then i can see them on a different pc, but when i try to open the html file it has no background and only one swf file, i have also try editing the code online using your tool but once i save any changes goes back to the previous code, i have older files that i uploaded just ok and they still working.

user & password are correct but many time ftp server reply with:

Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Could not connect to server

webinterface in the CP (file manager) allow to upload file
but the final sentence: Error uploading file

renaming file it's not allowed too.

there is a serious problem with storage server may be.
today it's definitively down

iar - what username and hostname are you using for ftp- I'm willing to bet they're wrong...

I use user & pass registred in ftp client and all parameter too
sometimes the server refuse the access.
and its impossible to write/modify file with control panel too.

now for example ftp client work ok and accept an upload file,
but when I try to put a file with ZHCP File Manager say
