I just extracted files to upload to my server. Okay, now what. I have this template that I want to install. Anyone help please!!
Ok. Its far better (and easier) to upload your site and files via FTP. A ftp client I recommend is FileZilla; if you don't know anything (or not much) check out these links:
http://www.webmonkey.com/2010/02/ftp_for_beginners/#more-590 . To download:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Port...load-29254.html (Portable Version) or filezilla-project.org/ (Non - Portable) .
So crank up filezilla, then go File>Site Manager>Then click the new site button. Fill in the details your host provides; note: generally leave login type as
normal
, unless your host provides another one, if that doesn't work - use the other options. When I did mine, I had to change my password just to login the server, so you may have to do just that.
Note: Your site may most likely require an SQL database and PHP. Zymic provides both; just setup and fill in the details for you SQL .the link is on the left of the control panel.
With the template you want to upload. Navigate your way through your computer through the FileZilla window and when found, upload by drag-drop to root directory (make sure your homepage is called index (with whatever extension it needs).
If the tut isn't clear enough, I sincerely apologize. Email me at: azmah.1652@y7mail.com for further queries/questions.
Good Luck
