I haven't made an actual website (or layout) in a while, so I was just fooling around in photoshop making one. I don't actually have a website to make, it's just for fun. It's not done, but I doubt I finish it anytime soon.

What do you guys think?



btw, I used to post on here a long time ago (not a lot, but some. I think this was my username then too, but I can't really remember. I know the last time I posted something.. on some older forums, ONE person remembered me )

Its nice but you need to put the main and footer of the site, so we will be able to say something more about it.

The styles of the icons don't match, unfortunately, it looks nice though

the forum icon sticks out the most. They all could use some color/different design.

Maybe a different background too. also the header is a bit big.

But it is better than half the stuff on this forum, so gj!

Yeah, I wish I knew how to make nice looking icons, but I don't.

I wasn't too keen on the background either... I didn't spend too much time trying to figure out something better.

The header doesn't seem big to me, but I guess that's partly a personal preference. (I have a really big monitor too )

I really like your website, the colors match a lot and it is kind of shinny.

One problem, see you have only images, so if someone has a bigger screen than yours... what would he see ?
See what i mean ? you will have to either center the site but than it'll come from an image to a color or put your layout on the very left, but than... :/

I keep having this problem will ALL my sites, so i end up making it a simple bg repeat on the back.

this isn't the site... it's just an image of a layout. If I were to actually make it in to a site the plan was to center the layout and use CSS to have a background image repeat at the top so that black stripe in the background stretches the width of one's browser.

hehe, thanks buddy i'm not that creative, lol... usually when I set out to design a website I have a hard time coming up with anything. Maybe 10% of the time I set up to start a design do I come up with something that I don't end up trashing at the end of the day. ha!

I completely agree, use an outline of a speechbubble for forum icon. And keep everything else the same, I really like it. You could probably sell that thing, or if you're giving, give it up for free. :-D

No, if you click the black bar to enlarge, and then click the image after it opens it enlarges even more. All the black bars are there

Nice layout man, it's amazing what a person with a big imagination can do with Photoshop. Some things are just absolutely stunning.

ya i wish i had photoshop. out of my budget however I just use gimp.

I completely agree as well (about the speech bubble thing). If I finished it I might try and sell it. I have sold 2 layouts before! (well one was actually making an entire website for someone)

I will post some more layouts i have made sometime (Probably not until next week b/c I am swamped with school work now).
