I dunno if this is in the right place, but there's no sub-forum for it in the Graphics section. I'm looking for tutorials for HAND-DRAWN art. This has always been an interest to me, but I simply haven't bothered to get into it.
My father has the "gift" of drawing. As far as he says, he never practised nor learned. He could just draw. I believe he should start doing it more often, but he doesn't. Mainly because my sisters are little bitches and he couldn't leave them alone in the house for 10 minutes let alone hours (even at night).
One of my sisters (who is 5 years younger than me, but this is irrelevant) also has said "gift." I don't think I do, I couldn't care less. In my books, practise always makes perfect. Or at least, pretty damn close.
As said, I've always wanted to draw. And not just digital art. Because although that's an interest, I'd rather be able to hand-draw more. This whole interest really started up because I envy artists such as people who draw webcomics and also a lot of people who draw on deviantART. I respect these people, I envy these people, and most important - I want to be good at drawing. Not to the extent of some of the folk at deviantART and other websites, but to a point where I can actually be proud of my work. Where I can say "Yeah, see that picture? I drew it with my own two hands." It's not the guy living in a shack across the street, and it ain't that old ladies down the road. It's MINE.
I'm currently looking for tutorials. But in all honestly, tutorials isn't how I should probably do it. I just want the sheer basics. At the moment, I'm drawing anything and screwing everything up. That's how I'm learning, but meh. Any and all help is much appreciated.
