I was curious if the "free" hosting plan will work with Wordpress.

I can do it manually, if allowed, what I was curious about were file type restrictions, etc.

The installation has a few .gz archives and some free sites (understandably) don't allow
a large range of file types (.wmv, .avi, .rar, .gz, etc.) to help stem piracy etc.

I have no piracy/scams of any sort in mind by the way.

Anyhow, it's nice to be aboard.

Lol. I fixed the title for you. You can install Wordpress here on Zymic and many users have had much success with it here. If you look under the tutorial section, you will find a nice how-to post relating to Wordpress.

.gz file extension is allowed on our server; however, just like many other hosts, we do not allow music or certain video file formats. If you would like a complete list of allowed/disallowed file types, you can view them here: http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235
