just go to settings -> Discussion -> E-mail me whenever and de-check the boxes

this is for Wordpress but if you need mail() support then you need to pay for it

Indeed it is for Wordpress.
I guess it is some function that mails the author of the blog as soon as a comment is posted on his blog. But I think it is also related to a "approved statuts" of the comment in the DB. I fear the author of the blog gets a link or anything in the mail in order to approve the comment.

I tried to comment the lines out that the error shows. I looked also in WP-settings file. All with no luck.
I think I need to make a major hack of the code for this to be working...
