See this image?


If you look it closely you see a really transparent line going trough the image from left to right.
Id like to add that or similar piece of art to my sites logo (a lot bigger image), but im not good at Photoshoping
Any help would be appreciated.

Umm...
grab pentool
stretch a line from the place you want and cover the shape you want
Fill gradient white>transparent [make sure the white is nearer the line]
set layer style to soft or hard light
lower opacity

much easier to simply select the shape, use a circular marquee tool set to Intersect with selection and fill it with white and modify opacity/layer style
