Which site you prefer?

HTML is a markup language used to create websites. Wordpress is a free blog creation software written in PHP.

I prefer HTML as I can always create my own blog system using PHP.

Based on the question, I'm guessing you're just starting out with web development. It's a good idea to learn HTML, but if you're just trying to get a website up, Wordpress is a lot easier.

i use wordpress for my site, It is userfriendly, you can create sites with little php knowledge

HTML is the best to create website.. We can create our own site in HTML.
Flash also user friendly blog creation tool...But my suggestion isHTML.

Yes,I too agree with you,HTML is a best tool to create our own websites..But word press also has some feature oriented tools to create web sites.

if you know php and html you dont need wp for creating regular cms sites, if you dont know anything you may prefer WP example my site: http://www.webtasarimciyiz.com is regular cms with php. but http://www.sibersonik.com is only html. if you want to uptade or edit your pages ofen you should use a cms .

I prefer wordpress because it's easier. You just have to input the write ups and pictures then the automatically do the coding. Many options are already provided like widgets etc. you just have to do the customizing rather than creating a site form scratch using HTML

I also use wordpress and i recommend wordpress is best. I have a blog of wordpress and it is getting very good traffic and ranking.

Depends on need. For static website Html are best because they are easy to browse for even a slow internet connection.
But Wordpress are good for dynamic websites like forums, blogs and shopping cart etc..

You should think about web site management factor. i you want to do it easily then WordPress is best & if you think about visitor then should HTML.

i think wordpress is best for seo purpose because its is a CMS and seo friendly having good seo plugin and rss etc. its support us to get rank easily thank you.

Wordpress themes are very search engine friendly also they have Easy to use Cpanel for webmasters.

Well i will go for WordPress if i want to create a blog and for site i will prefer HTML.But there is no any draw back weather to use html or word press for your site both are good.

Its very easy t create a site just with little knowledge of PHP in Word Press and HTML is really good if you have proper knowledge of website creation.

There are many different views. Some says HTML and others prefer WORDPRESS.

However I feel both have some advantages and disadvantages as well.

Can any one clearly points out those differences between the two?

A colleague of mine asked this question yesterday:

I'm used to creating websites using html with stylesheets and then using Server Side Includes to create ad link boxes that are easily changed so I don't have to change dozens (or 100's) of pages.

I know more and more people are using Wordpress as a way to build their websites. When I was discussing this with someone today, I was told that Wordpress was more when used as a database for a website than creating a html site. I do know that more and more sites are using the blog format for their sites, but is it really more popular than the way I do my sites?

In your opinion, does one have any advantages over the other? Do search engines like a blog-based website better than a html site, as my friend is insisting?

I'm in the process of creating a new personal website, and was wondering if I should just stick to my old ways, or go the Wordpress route.

What do you think? Should she move her site(s) over to WordPress? Or should she stick with HTML? Personally, I would probably stick with the HTML - it works fine for what she's doing and she understands it. WordPress would require her learning about a whole new system, and unless she's planning on converting her sites to blogs, I wouldn't do it.
