Full Version: User Upload Through Ftp?

I know that Zymic does not allow PHP uploads, but can you upload with FTP?
For example, if a visitor to my website wanted to upload an image, if I made a Java FTP applet that connects to the FTP for my site, is it allowed to upload?
In essence, my question is what is the reason for the ban on user uploads?
Is it no user uploads at all, or no direct server uploads with PHP? huh.gif huh.gif huh.gif

we do allow some php upload but if you make a ftp upload site then it will be suspended

What do you mean by "some PHP upload"?
Also, what do you mean by "ftp upload site"?

My reason for this question is because I want to let my users upload their own account picture like in Gmail chat (and Zymic forums...).

ok any site that is created just for FTP use only will be suspended like net2ftp.com
EvilMastermindsProgram
I don't mean that.
I mean is there any way to let users upload stuff to my website so they can customize it (like Zymic personal photos...)? huh.gif
