According to erich spencer "There are basically five primary categories of media: Video, Audio, Application, Graphics, and the one that we often ignore as a media type, Text."

May i ask for help me, how can i arrange all the text, images, script and other media files
on my folder?

I only learn how to create webpage from tutorial on the net.
I named my webpage folder myfirstwebdoc
all webpages that i created are inside.

I believe its not a good practice to put all this media in a single folder
without proper arrangement on each type.

Thanks
MrTouz
i guess create subfolders (folders inside your folder) and name them each file type.

Main Folder : Your html pages for your site
Subfolders :
- images (for your site layout)
- img (for your other images)
- videos (for your videos..)

i mean, well no... i dont mean.. im kinda not sure what you are asking ?

what i do for most of my sites is have everything seperate in folders.

/root:
main php files

/css
/images
/js

and for videos and other outbound images like sigs and ads i set up a subdomain:
http://assets.bnstv.com/bnstv/episodes/wmv/

Personally, I'd probably make 2 folders.
/pages/ for all the XHTML Pages
and /extras/ for your 'Media' Stuff.

Either way, Ruffino and MrTouz are correct. :-)
We all have different methods..

Exactly, thats why i wasnt sure what you were asking for,

there are plenty ways of organizing your stuff, you can put all media files in a media folder, you can create one folder per media, you can create an extra folder, but its just a matter on how you see it... just don't put everything on the same folder like : .css .html .php and the medias, and the images... put them on a folder, but than you choose the folders smile.gif
