Blender has neat tutorials. You should check it out.
Skill in programming and a fast renderer. You refuse to download a fast renderer, so I guess you'll have to make it up with extra skill.
I personally think if you want to learn 3d animation you must have the least of knowledge about graphic design. so practice more in adobe Photoshop,illustrator update version. thanks for sharing me here for my personal view. i want to learn 3d graphics but i can not find the reliable source about it. would anybody please give me information 3d graphic design.
