Hi, I just installed the latest version of WP 3.2.1
and every time I try to install a plugin , or upload photos, I get this error

An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.
Can Some One Help Me With This? Also, When I upload photos, they don't show up on the main site. All I get is X's and squares!

its due to remote connections ARE DISABLE AND WILL NOT BE ENABLE

so does this mean that zymic no longer lets wordpress run on their server, or what?

you can run wp on our servers its just you can use the dashboard to get plug-ins our themes. you would have to go to http://wordpress.org/ to get them and then un-zip it on your computer and then upload it to your wp-content to their right folder

hmm..maybe I should point out the particular plugin I am trying to install. I am trying to convert my tumblr post
gomezdevotee.tumbr.com to WP. And in order to do so, I have to install to import my file using the WP converter (which is already installed under my WP's Tools area) but when I try to use that converter, however, I still get that error I mentioned on the first post.

I also have this error written all over my dashboard page

that is all do to the fact that remote connections are disable

I also have this issue when trying to import my wordpress data from my old wordpress site to this new one.

Does this mean I can't do this? I guess I've just wasted my time joining Zymic then! The reason I moved was to use my wordpress blog here and if I can't import all that data across it's a bit pointless

make sure wp-contents/uploads is chmodded to 777

To run WordPress 3.2.1 your host just needs a couple of things:
PHP version 5.2.4 or greater
MySQL version 5.0 or greater.

So please check the PHP version & mysql version zymic provides.

we have php version 5.2.17 (higher then 5.2.4) and MySQL 5.0.75

You better install plugins or themes via File manager or FTP. And it's recommended coz you may edit promptly.
