Hey guys

I have a little problem with Johnīs great MP3 player tutorial.

My goal is it to reach step 3, but since i am a total noob in photoshop i need more advices. therefore i will post a few quotations from the tutorial. i hope you can explain the steps more detailed to me.

STEP 2:

"Start with a large black canvas. Choose the rounded rectangle tool and set radius setting to 20px. *** NEED BR *** In a new layer draw a #F6F5F3 round rectangle. (width: 417 x height: 268). In your canvas, marquee select your header size which will be filled with a gradient effect. Height of 60px and width of 800px. And then add the following layer styles: Inner Shadow"

My questions:

What does black canvas mean? A black background?
What does ***NEED BR*** mean?
Where can i select my header size?
What kind of gradient effect shall i use?
What does Height 60px and width of 800px mean? A rectangle with the size of 60x800?

STEP 3:

"Choose Select located at the top of your screen then Load Selection > Default settings.
Set your foreground color to #FFFFFF then choose the brush tool with a large soft brush.
In a new layer, paint #FFFFFF on the layer, as shown on the picture guide below. "

Where is "select located" located in the photoshop menu and where can i choose
" Load Selection > Default settings"?

I just donīt get what i have to do. Please help me

thx Can

1: just a black background, yeah
2. br tags
3. Use the marquee tool - the little dotty thing that makes rectangles

4. Linear unless stated otherwise
5. "Select" is at the top, above the options bar, after "Layer"

um... try playing around with photoshop before you start making things?
