I use ObjectDock for all of my shortcuts, and I use my desktop for work. (I've been really busy this week, so desktop is pretty bad. Usually it's better.)
My wallpaper changes ~once a week. Right now, it's the gecko from Novell's OpenSUSE artwork. (My laptop is running OpenSUSE)
I'm hoping to get a second monitor next year. Not exactly possible right now (dorm is small)

Lmao thats not even the half of it, I'm stuck on 1024x768 screen res, when I had 1280x1024 i had a TON more icons.
And that screen was taking a little after I had cleaned it off.

My desktop is just where everything goes. I know exactly where everything is on it.
All the files that I save though and don't access regularly I have sorted by what they are (aka a program, a game, text file, etc...) and then in those folders I have even more categories. Same with my music. I have several genres in my music folder, then in those they are sorted by artist. My desktop is really the only messy place. I can't NOT work without it being messy.
